*Bella's pov*

I woke up to someone jumping up and down on my bed obviously trying to wake me up, I barely peeked open my eyes to see my little sister Gabrielle with the biggest smile on her face and her movements making her blonde hair go everywhere.

"What do you want Gab" I wined, pulling my pillow over my head.

"BELLE DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS?!" she squealed full of delight

"No, no I don't" I stated groaning into my pillow once more

"It's your eleventh birthday" I heard my older sister, Fleur, say from the door of my room

'you've got to be kidding me right now' I internally sighed, starting to sit up in my bed

"You're joking right?" I asked Fleur with annoyance laced in my voice

"No, now get up so you can open your letters" she said before strutting off

"Go Gab, let me get ready with a bit of peace." I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose

"okay" she sighed and left, making sure to close the door behind her

You might not know me but you most likely know my family, The Delacour's. We are among one of the very last bloodline Veela's there are, and we are somewhat filthy rich as the muggles would say. You also most likely know my two sisters, Fleur, the oldest and the golden girl, and Gabrielle, the youngest and the one whom is loved by all. I'm assuming you never heard about me though, I am the middle child, Bella, or Belle, Delacour, even though I am part Veela I have dark brown hair unlike my sisters, and also unlike my sisters who can turn their Veela charm off, I sadly cannot. This means any boy I meet, talk to, even look in their general direction, gets charmed by me and my "beauty", all but my father, and other adults of course, are not affected by the charm. This gets highly annoying when you are just trying to breathe without having marriage proposals standing outside your door since you were five. Anyways, I'm pretty much the only Delacour nobody knows is really a Delacour. I am hidden away and forced to keep to myself for most of the year. Every year on my birthday I would be celebrating alone or with my sister Gabrielle, seeing as she was the only who wasn't ashamed of me, but apparently this year was different and I would be forced to celebrate with my family seeing as it was my eleventh birthday.

I made my way out of my comfy bed and towards my closet to look for a presentable outfit to wear downstairs. I just decided to wear my pajamas downstairs seeing as I was not awake enough to put together a matching and sensible outfit that my mother and Fleur would approve of.

I yawned while making my way downstairs and making a left to the kitchen.

"Goodmorning" I sighed, stretching my arms

"Happy birthday dear" my father smiled, handing me a stack of crepes

"Thank you" was the last thing to come out of my mouth while my eyes widened at the sight of food

I was about to dig in to the wonderous looking little disks before my hand was slapped away by none other than my mother.

"Open your letters first you ungrateful child" she seethed through her teeth, saying the last part lowly so only me, her, and Fleur could hear

I looked over at my older sister who was smirking towards me and had her arms folded over her chest.

I rolled my eyes at her sinister stance and began grabbing the letters, one was a red envelope, another tan, and the final blue. I decided to open the red one first.

Dear Miss Belle Delacour,

You have been accepted into the Durmstrang Institute of Magic. You, and the rest of our first years will be welcomed on the 30th of August for the sorting of the dragon ceremony. We hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Igor Karkaroff

Headmaster of the Durmstrang Institute of Magic

"I thought that they only allowed males at the Durmstrang school" I said perplexed while reading the letter over again

"Maybe they thought you were a boy, you sure look like one" Fleur scoffed

I rolled my eyes again and opened the next letter, to my surprise it was from Hogwarts, Professor Albus Dumbledore was the headmaster. He was one of the greatest wizards alive, and also wielded the elder wand, the most powerful wand to have ever existed.

Not even bothering to open the last letter I turned to my parents and looked at them straight in the eye.

"I want to go to Hogwarts." I said calmly and sternly, not breaking eye contact with them

"No" my mother simply stated, taking another sip of her espresso

"But why not" I whined, now furious I couldn't even choose where I spend the next eight years of my life at

"Because you will be going to Beauxbatons no questions asked." She said, not even bothering to even stop drinking her espresso

I rolled my eyes and stormed off to my room, not exactly thrilled that I would have to go to the same school as my older sister.

"why me?" I questioned as I leaned against my door and began sliding down it

"why me?" I whispered as I finally placed my head between my knees, all the anger of before now coming out in the form of tears
