I woke up the next morning on a bed that was possibly, dare I say more comfortable than mine that was lonely back home. I opened my eyes slowly, not daring to make the same mistake that I had yesterday and took in my scenery.

I tossed my feet over the ledge of the soft bed and carefully place my feet on the floor. I began to slowly walk towards my window, looking out upon the beautiful city, bustling in the morning. I stared at the tall structure that was not far from my grasp, but yet always seemed to slip through my fingers, and stared at it in awe.

"Gorgeous isn't it?" I heard an unknown voice call from behind me

I turned around to face the source of the sound only to be met with stunning grey eyes.

"Yea it is" I said turning back around to face the mass

"You are probably wondering who I am are you not?" the boy called from behind me

"Oh I am, I am just more interested in the structure that resides just out of my reach" I retorted, too caught up in the majesty of what was before my eyes

"I do not know if I should be offended or not" the boy chuckled, mainly to himself

I continued to stare out at the city, still feeling the presence of the boy who seemed to be my age behind me

"Well, my name is Timothee Fontaine, and what may yours be?" he questioned, while I turned around to face him

His grey eyes meeting my blue, causing his mouth to gape open just a bit.

"I am Belle Delacour, daughter of Apolline and Pierre, and granddaughter of Odette"

The boy just stood their, not saying a word, just staring. I began fidgeting with my long, brown hair, just to make the situation seem a bit less, how do you say, awkward.

"Well, Belle, I was sent by your grandmother to come retrieve you, she wanted me to meet you because I am also going to be starting my first year at Beauxbatons and also because she thinks we will be good f-friends." he stated, stuttering at the end

"If you are wondering why you are suddenly 'attracted' to me, it is because I am part Veela, now please could you leave so I can change" I rolled my eyes, obviously getting annoyed

"y-yes, of course" he said, smiling as he walked out

being a messed up Veela is honestly exhausting, why can't I just be like Fleur and Gabrielle and be able to turn this stupid 'charm' off

I mentally scoffed as I continued to get ready for the day. I put on a pair of light washed jeans, a white shirt with two black lines on each arm, and a red flannel around my waist. Content with my outfit, I took my long hair and placed it in a messy bun on my head, pulling out of few hairs to frame my face. With that I grabbed my glasses and walked out of my room.
