"Love is for the weak" She said staring out of the window of Magnus' apartment, lost in the city below.
"If that's true, then what are you doing here?" He argued watching the brunette with narrowed eyes.

Sarah put her hands in her pocket as she walked beside Alec, "Let me guess, She sneaked out," She started startling Alec.
"Sarah! Where did you come from?" He asked, huffing in annoyance at the brunette's sudden appearance, unaware that basically, at this point, it's considered her thing.
She shrugged, "Jace called. You can guess the rest. I hate this as much as you do," Sarah stated with annoyance after her brother basically begged her to keep an eye on Clary.
Alec nodded, casting a quick look at the brunette before looking ahead of him, "Jace didn't talk much about his childhood, but he always talked about you," He said.
She nodded, "It's true we were close" she wasn't lying when she said that. She and Jace were quite inseparable when they were young, true. It was an isolated environment they grew up in, but they'd always believed that nothing matters if the other was okay, that's all they ever cared about
"Where were you all these years?" Alec wondered, unaware of the heavy answer that the brunette carries with her. She didn't like to talk about it as it was a horrendous experience.
Sarah clenched her jaw before noticing the redhead standing in front of the Brooklyn Academy of art, "There she is," Alec also seemed to notice before the brunette's phone rang, making Alec stop in his tracks, "Go talk to her, I'll take this call."
Alec nodded, going to the redhead when the brunette saw that he was away and can't hear her. She answered her phone, "Hello?"
"Sarah, Hi. It's Magnus. We met the other day. You know, with the demon." Magnus answered as he threw a book in the air catching it again between his fingers.
She frowned, taking the phone off of her ear looking at it for a few seconds before putting it back, "Who gave you my number?"
"Totally irrelevant. Anyways I was just thinking it was really nice getting to know you. You seem... sympathetic. Would you like to go out for a drink sometime?" He offered as he put the book back on the shelf.
The brunette walked a little, "Drink?" She wondered with a frown on her face.
"Yeah, you know when two people share a couple of drinks, talk and enjoy their time," Magnus explained on the other end of the line.
Sarah rolled her eyes, "I know what a drink means, just don't see why but anyway, when do you wanna do this?" She asked, stopping in her tracks and looking around at the streets, noticing a lack of red and tall black-haired shadowhunters, "How about right now?" Magnus answered
"You got to be kidding me," She muttered silently before closing her eyes, sighing heavily, "Look, Magnus, I'd love to, but I really need to go, So another time? Okay," She didn't give him any time to say anything before she hung up searching for Alec and Clary.
"Playing hard to get, I love a challenge," Magnus said after the brunette hung up on him walking to his couch.
"Why am I not surprised? What are you doing here?" She questioned, walking into Clary's burnt loft staring at the two shadowhunters before she turned to Simon, "Actually, what's the mundane doing here?"
