FEBRUARY, 2002.
"Y/n, y/n, y/n!" -Alex exclaimed. Your head looked to wherever you thought his voice was coming from while he ran downstairs, his guitar in hand. -"You must listen to this!"Alex and you have been being a couple for two months now, and everything only got better and better between you both. Confidence, happiness and trust just grew more everyday - and also you were getting to know each other more, if that was even possible.
And since you got him the guitar, he has been entertained writing and playing it like crazy. It was insanely amazing how fast he was learning, and he was feeling supported by you in every aspect - finding positivity thanks to you. If he ever wrote something down for a song, you were the first who would listen to it, making you feel special.
And when his parents noticed how talented he was with the guitar, they got him an electric one in January, making him go crazy.
"You've got a new song?" -You asked him once he sat next to you.
"Not yet." -He giggled. -"But uh... I think I've got a few nice lines 'ere."
You crossed your legs and looked at him. -"Show me then!"
He smiled and cleared his throat, before singing and strumming his guitar:
"Anticipation has the habit to set you up,
for disappointment in evening entertainment, but
Tonight there'll be some love.
Tonight there'll be a ruckus, yeah,
Regardless of what's gone before.
I want to see all of the things that we've already seen,
I wanna see you take the jackpot out the fruit machine and put it all back in.
You've got to understand that
you can never beat the bandit, no..."
"Wow." -You raised your eyebrows once he finished singing. -"Alex that... that sounds really fucking good, eh?""Ya reckon?" -His mouth turned into a bigger smile as his cheeks turned slightly red.
"Yeah!" -You eagerly nodded at him. -"It's like very energetic and cool, I love it!"
"Thank you, darlin', really." -He pecked your lips twice. -"I'm actually proud of the sound of this one."
"As you should." -You smiled against his lips. -"And there's no need to thank me, Al."
"Of course there is! I mean-" -He sighed, placing his guitar carefully next to him. -"You're always so supportive and sweet and... God, you're just amazing."
"Aren't you the cutest boy 'round?" -You shyly smiled, hugging him around his chest. You felt him smile when you placed your head in the crook of his neck.
"I've been told, yeah." -He joked. -"But seriously, I don't know what I'd do without ya."
"Well, you don't have to think about that because I'd never leave, you know?"
"You better don't because I'd go crazy." -He grinned at you, placing his both hands on your cheeks and kissing you tenderly. You felt his hair brushing against your forehead, tickling you. -"By the way, the guys are comin' over soon."
