Descriptions: know for it's salt lakes, there are also many ways of them thriving. As the tribes and colonies themselves even live near Salt Lake City itself! In which the Homo erectus do live here, but were never mention in chapters that have states in the Western United States.

Homes: caves, abandoned buildings, shelters and dwellings.

Locations of their homes: national parks, mountains, forests and grasslands.

Colonists: Paleoindians, Homo erectus, Homo Heidelbergensis, Homo floresiensis, Cro-magnons and Homo Ergaster.

Animals they tamed: primordial dogs, gray wolves, dire wolves and bone crushing dogs.

Game they hunt: bison, steppe mammoths, mastodons, desert bighorn sheep, elk, stag moose, moose, mountain goats, pronghorns, red deer, mule deer, whitetail deer and kudu deer. 

In which this is the first time they are living near a city (including a state capital), as they'll have the advantage to venture in and try to make friends with modern citizens.
