Trigger warning: there is some violence/abuse. Sorry, guys...
He seemed so willing, so easy to believe me at 1st. I just gave him a fake name & he didn't even question it. Didn't realise that my name isn't actually Adair. My name's not English, it's Italian. How gullible can you be? It was so easy.
Tell him I left not too long ago, & family's not a problem. Won't be. Now that he's estranged from the only family, the only people who could possibly protect him, &... He couldn't be more vulnerable. Except maybe... If he had his guard down? Was distracted by something...?
"Hey, let's take a stop here, k?" I say, smiling warmly at him as I park the car on the side of an abandoned road far enough away that his family couldn't possibly do or hear anything.
He looks over at me & I pull him into a hug, letting him cry into my shoulder. "It's ok," I soothe, patting his back & reaching under the seat for the gun I store there while he's distracted.
I have the silencer on, & you can't even hear the shots, thank God. Don't want the cops showing up.
His body turns back to wolf, his fur matted with blood, but nobody will notice a dead wolf in the forest.
Well, nearly dead, but what's the difference? 1 down, only so many to go. Man, this job was easy. No 1 even notices when I leave him there in the forest & drive away. What a relief, keeps my hands clean, ha. On to the next wolf. Making my boss proud!
Sorry, guys. I know this chapter is hella dark, but it's plot relevant, sorry... It gets better...
