Chapter 36- Lupita

I watched from afar as Linh walked into a café on campus. I stepped in not long after, though enough of a pause to seem inconspicuous. I had been assigned the morning shift today, but it was whatever, I guess...

I understood the need for watching over this kid, though that didn't mean the job was any more bearable. Something caught my attention though on that early morning. Another man went into the bathroom right after Linh did.

Now, that in itself didn't seem too suspicious, but... the way he carried himself... As though the whole world had wronged him... Had no place near this café (more likely near a therapist's place), particularly near my charge.

I watched closely, waiting for Linh to step out, hoping that he was ok.

He did, eventually... But with the other man... Though for some reason... They seemed to know each other...

That seemed rather odd... Who meets an old buddy in the bathroom?!

I decided to trail behind them, just in case, though at a distance. I had a bad feeling about this...

When I saw them get in the man's van, I knew something had to be up. Linh had come here in his own car... Why would he go in someone else's? & where would he be going if he had class soon?

I followed at a distance in my own car. Sure, I could follow in my wolf form easily... But in the city? Fuck no, that'd be hella conspicuous, & I couldn't run in my human form nearly that fast...

When they arrived at some man's house & I saw that they dragged Linh out with a sack on his head, I knew we were fucked.

But I couldn't go in there alone.

I dialed on the phone. "Dad? Yeah... We got a problem..."

I know this chapter isn't the happiest... But it'll be ok... No spoilers, but it will be... Anyways, see ya later :D
