We arrived at our final destination, Dela Rosa, a French/Italian/Asian restaurant.
I had made us reservations. It's a very hard restaurant to get reservations for but luckily having Gomes for last name does wonders.
I got out then helped Royalty out of the car. I gave my keys to the boy who is supposed to take my car and park it then bring it back to me when I leave.
Gently, I lead Royalty inside, with my hand on the small of her back. We were greeted by a girl with a clipboard in her hand as soon as we stepped in.
"Hello, do you have reservations?" She asked
"Yes, reservations under Gomes." I said
"Oh, yes. Right this way, sir." She said leading us to a booth.
I pulled out Royalty's chair and then pushed it in when she sat down. I took a seat as well.
"Please wait a moment. Someone will be with you in a moment." She said and left
As soon as she left, a waitress appeared almost instantly with menus in her hand making Royalty jump slightly.
"Here are you menus. Another waitress will be here to take your orders." She said leaving
"Okay." Royalty said slowly
"I don't think another one of them is going to appear for a few minutes." I smiled
"I hope so." Royalty said
"She scared you?" I asked snickering
"Just surprised me. It's not that easy to scare me." Royalty shook her head smiling
"Is that a challenge I hear?" I asked raising an eyebrow
"It is. Too much of a coward to accept it?" Royalty said challenging
"Challenge accepted. What do I get when I win?" I smirked
"If you win then I will do whatever you want for a two days." Royalty said
"Sounds fun. Now, I really have to win. You at my beck and call, that will be so amazing." I said leaning back into my chair
"You never asked about what will happen if you lose." Royalty said smiling deviously
"I'm not going to lose." I shrugged
"You only have a week to win this challenge." Royalty said
"We'll see what happens in the end of a week. Meaning you will be my maid for two days, at my beck and call." I smiled
Royalty went back to reading her menu without responding. I went back to reading mine. Some really delicious options on this menu and some, I don't understand, how can they be considered delicacy.
A waitress appeared all of a sudden startling both of us.
"Hi, I'm Ruby and I will be your waitress for the day." She said with a notepad in her hand
"Hi, we're ready to order." I said closing my menu
"I would like steak with a side of mashed potatoes and cherry tomatoes along with a potato salad." Royalty ordered her food
"I'll have the same." I said
"What about drinks, sir?" Ruby asked
"We will take a bottle of finest white wine." Royalty ordered before I could
"Alright, I will be back with your orders in a few minutes." Ruby said jotting it down
The moment Ruby left, Royalty mumbled something that I didn't quite catch, but she didn't seem happy so, I suppose it wasn't something good.
