Chapter 15

I woke up excitedly. I went to the bathroom and had a quick shower. I went downstairs to eat my breakfast before I go. Rhys left a message in my social media account.

Rhaiden Prieur
I'll wait you here at the parking lot.

Binilisan ko sa pagkain. After I brushed my teeth I went to Mang Denis.

"Tara na po." I told him.

"Aga na po natin, ma'am ah?" He looked at me teasingly.

"Kailangan po maaga, bawal na kami ma-late sabi ni Prof." I told him.

Lies.

Ngayong mga araw lang naman ako maaga. Ako kaya laging late samin simula pa dati. Tapos ngayon, nauuna na ako sa kanila. I went inside the car before I replied to Rhys.

I smiled as I typed my reply to him.

Delikado, napapangiti na niya ako.

Mang Denis stopped the car outside the school.

"Mang Denis, text ko na lang po kayo kung magpapasundo ako mamaya." I told him.

"Sige po, ma'am. Ingat po kayo."

I went inside before Mang Denis drove away. Feeling excitedly, I walked straight to the parking lot. My heart beating wildly as I walked. I saw him leaning his back on his black BMW. I walked towards him.

"Hey." He looked up at me. He smiled at me as he stared at my face.

"Hey, gorgeous. Good morning." He told me.

"Good morning!" I smiled at him.

Sabay kaming naglakad papunta sa department namin. Nadaanan namin ang building ng Accountancy. Napayuko ako. Baka makita ako ng mga bruhildang kaibigan ko. Wala pa naman akong sinasabi sa kanila.

"How's your sleep? Nakatulog ka ba ng maayos?" He asked me after a moment of silence.

"Okay lang. Okay lang naman hehe." I didn't know what do I have to tell him. I'm more of excited and nervous at the same time.

Hindi na 'to normal.

"Can we go to my locker before we headed to our classrooms? I have to put this there." He showed me the book.

"Yeah, sure."

We went to his locker. He immediately put his book inside his locker.

"Let's go. Hatid kita sa room mo." He offered me. Syempre hindi na ako tatanggi.

Enebe, medj kilig ako.

On our way upstairs. He offered his left hand to me. Inalalayan niya ko paakyat. Hindi naman ako baldado pero inalalayan niya ako paakyat.

Luh, parang tenge nemen nete eh.

Some students eyeing on us. Some of them were talking about us. Of course, they will talk about us. Rhys still didn't let go of my hand. Ma-issue pa naman sa Pilipinas. We heard some of them talking about us as we passed by. They're talking clearly and not so loud but enough for us to hear it.

Gossipers!

We stopped walking when we're at the front of my room.

"May kasama ka ba sa lunch mamaya?" He asked me.

"Wala." I Immediately answered. Kahit alam kong sabay kami laging nagla-lunch na apat.

"Oh, great. See you at lunch, then?"

"Yeah, see yah." I turned to walk inside our room but before I could fully entered the room someone grabbed my phone. I immediately searched who got my phone in my hand. But before I could reacted. I saw Rhys holding my phone, typing something on it. I was caught off guard. I don't know what or how to react. After typing something on my phone, he returned it back to me.

"I forgot to put my number on your phone. Here." He handed me back my phone.

"I'll text you later." He said and smiled at me as he walks away from our room.

I forced myself not to smile as I walked towards my seat. Konti pa lang ang nandito. Few of them looked at me. I just ignored them.

I attentively listen to our Prof in Arch10; course code of Architectural Design I: Foundation of Design. He showed us some Architectural Design Houses all over the world that designed by Pilipino Architects.

After our class in Arch10, I went out of the room. At least I had an hour or more vacant every 3 days. I was walking towards the library when I saw Kaiden. I was just about to turn back but before I could do that, he was fast enough to grab my wrist.

"What is it again this time, Kai?" I asked him then turn around to looked at him.

"I just wanted to say sorry, Ave." He said. I was caught off guard. Unable to move nor react on what he had told me. Why the hell would he say sorry at me? I know he had a mistake. But knowing Kaiden, he's not used to say sorry sometimes.

"I'm sorry for being a jerk. But you're right, Ave." I frowned upon hearing his words.

"I realized that I have to let you go. I have to set you free. Because I was the one who fooled you at first. You already moved on but I'm still here hoping you would come back to me. You're right. Maybe the reason why I can't moved on is because I'm still hoping. Maybe I should stop hoping for you to come back, to love me again. Because that's the first step for me to move on. I'm only fooling myself if I would still hoped for you to love me and come back at me. Now, I decided to stop hoping and start fixing myself. I'll start fixing my life, myself without you by my side. I'm sorry for everything that I've said and done, Ave. I know it's all my fault. I should blame myself for that. I'll fixed everything now. Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for the lesson, I already learned from it now." After he told me that he smiled at me then he walked away.

I was caught off guard. I didn't expected him to say that. It's a good thing that he finally accepted that we can't be back together. I'm glad that he will finally let himself moved on.
