🔹Chapter 26: Formation

// Scene in front of Hephaestus Temple, Mount Olympus //
Shiryu, Shura, Deathmask, and the army of Saints are facing dozens of Hephaestus, Hoplites troops

Shura: "* EXCALIBUR * !!"
(Shura attacks the 5 Hoplites who are advancing towards him)
Hoplites: "Arghh !!"
(The Hoplites can be defeated by Shura)
Shura: "Hmph, there is nothing that Excalibur can't cut."
(On the other hand, Shiryu is also dealing with some Hoplites)
Shiryu: "* EXCALIBUR * !!"
(Some Hoplites were hit by the Excalibur, but some avoided by jumping up)
Shiryu: "Heh"
(Shiryu jumps up too)
Shiryu: "* ROZAN SHO RYU-HA * !!!"
(The Hoplites were also defeated by Shiryu by his attack)
Shiryu: "Yosh"
(Shiryu sees some Hoplites pointing towards the Saints)

Deathmask and the Saints take on the Hoplites that lead to them.  Deathmask used a blue spirit aura to attack the Hoplites.  They fought fiercely

Hephaestus: "Hmm, they are quite capable of surviving like that"
(Hephestus is thinking)
Hephaestus: "No need to linger, I'll show you right away"
(Hephaestus gives a signal to the Hoplites)
Hephaestus: "Retreat, Hoplites"
Hoplites: "Understood!"
(All Hoplites retreat from their positions)
Shura: "What ?!"
Shiryu: "What does this mean ?!"
Deathmask: "Looks like they are scared"
(Shura is curious about something)

Suddenly, from inside the temple, another fighting force appeared.  This troop looks different from ordinary Hoplites.  The Saints were surprised to see them

Shura: "What? !!"
Shiryu: "Other troops? !!"
Deathmask: "Oy oy, how many troops actually does he have ?!"
(The troops line up in front of Hephaestus)
Hephaestus: "This is the elite troop I have, the Hoplites Phalanx!"
Shiryu: "Hoplites Phalanx ??"
Hephaestus: "Hoplites Phalanx is different from ordinary Hoplites, you will not be able to beat them easily"

* Note: There are 40 Phalanx Hoplites.  The armor is black made of steel

Deathmask: "Heh, you must be exaggerating"
Hephaestus: "Then, let's just try ..."

Hephaestus gave a signal to the Hoplites Phalanx.  They then line up (8 rows, each row have 5 people)

Shura: "Huh ??"
Shiryu: "They line up ??"
Deathmask: "Are they kidding ??"
Hephaestus: "... Do it"

The first row opened a gap.  Then one of the Hoplites Phalanx in the back row shot an arrow very fast.  The arrow hit one of the saint, and that Saint was instantly killed.  The first row of the line closes back in line

Shiryu: "? !!"
Deathmask: "? !!!"
Shura: "? !!"
(The Saints are shocked)
Shiryu: "There is an archer in the middle of the line !!
Deathmask: "Damn, that attack was so fast !!"
Shura: "Tchh!"
(Suddenly Shura advanced towards the Hoplites Phalanx)
Shiryu: "Wait, Shura !!"
Shura: "(If they can do ranged attacks, this will be very dangerous!)"
(Shura thinks while running)
Shura: "(Then I will cut this line one at a time!)"
(Shura swing his hand)
Shura: "* EXCALIBUR * !!!"

Shura attacked the Hoplites Phalanx from a distance.  Instantly the vanguard of the Phalanx Hoplites put up their shields.  Shura's Excalibur attack can also be deflected to the side

Shura: "What? !!"
Hephaestus: "Heh"
Shura: "Khh !!! ... Then how about a direct close up attack? !!"
(Shura ran towards the Hoplites Phalanx, then he jumped forward)
Shura: "* JUMPING STONE * !!!"

Shura jumped forward and directed his right foot towards the Hoplites Phalanx.  Then it was seen that the two Phalanx Hoplites were doing something.  The second row aimed their long spears forward, past the first row.  It was as if Shura's kick was aimed directly at the spears

Shura: "(Spear ?! ... Damn, I can't stop !!)"
(Shura has already jumped towards the spears)
Shiryu: "Shura !!"
(Suddenly Shiryu runs beside Shura)
Shiryu: "Sorry, Shura! ... * ROZAN RYU HI-SHO * !!"
(Shiryu attacks Shura from the side, Shura bounces to the side)

Deathmask: "Oy Shiryu, why did you attack Shura? !!"
