A few days after Draco and I kept smiling at each other in the hallway.

It was nice actually, never would have guessed a blonde brat could be so supportive.

As for Cedric, I kept seeing him everywhere. It was almost Christmas and that meant break was coming soon.

Later that day there was an announcement about the Triwizard Tournament.

I saw a few people putting their names in the cup. I saw Cedric again being pushed by his friends towards the cup.

He went in the circle and placed his little piece of paper in. All his friends cheered, his hair was wet because of the rain.

As he walked away we made eye contact and he grinned at me. I could feel my face turning red.

Later:
It was announced that Cedric would be one of the Triwizard Champions.

Suddenly I felt my stomach turn. I knew he was strong but something didn't feel right.

Never the less, I tried to ignore the feeling and stayed proud for Cedric.

After he had his meeting with the others I ran up to him in the hallway.

*I poked his shoulder to get his attention*

"Cedric." I said smiling.

"Oh hey Y/n, it's nice to hear your voice again."

He was perfect. So kind and sweet, whenever I'm near him I just wanna jump in his arms and hug him forever.

"I'm so happy for you, I know you'll do great in the tournament."

"Yeah, honestly I-I'm a little nervous," he said with a little laugh.

"You got this Ced, you are one of the strongest people I know," I could feel my face turning red again as I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Thanks Y/n/n."

"I'm always here for you no matter what," I said.

At this point I knew my face looked like a tomato, I was alright with it though.

He looked at me directly in my eyes and just stood there with a little smile.

"Oh um- I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go get some butter beer with me after school tomorrow."

I felt like I was gonna pass out. Cedric Diggory was really asking me on a date.

"I would love to go with you," I said smiling ear to ear.

"Great, I'll pick you up at 6:30, if that's okay with you."

"Yeah that works," I said.

AHHHHHHH WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!

I went to the common room with the dumbest smile on my face.

Draco was sitting on the couch in front of the fire writing in his journal. He looked up as I came in. He made a face at me.

"Wow, someone's happy," he said grinning.

"Yeahh," I said staring out into space.

I sat down on the couch across from him.

"Uh, why?"

"Wouldn't you like to know," I said flipping my hair.

"Yeah dummy, that's why I asked."

"Well, if you musttt know, Cedric Diggory asked me out."

His grin slowly turned into a blank expression.

"A hufflepuff huh," he said looking at the fire.

"Yeah well, he's a great person and I think I really like-

"Be careful, there's a lot of girls that like him. He could break your heart in a matter of seconds," he said as he cut me off refusing to make eye contact with me.

"Yeah I know but we're just getting butter beer, nothing crazy."

"Just butter beer, just hugging, just making out, popular boys like him don't know when to stop," he said finally turning to me.

He looked angry.

"But Cedric's different, I know it."

Draco closed his eyes and looked down as if he was in physical pain.

He grabbed his journal and his bag. He got up and walked towards the stairs near the bedrooms. He turned to me and said, "Hope he's worth it Y/n."

What the hell was that supposed to mean?
