all or nothing

my body doesn't know
moderation
she falls deeply in love
and cries for a week
and laughs like a madman
then comes numbness
it's hard to smile
it's hard for tears to fall
it's hard to feel anything
one moment my heart is burning
the next it's frozen
i'm trying to
teach her moderation
but she can't seem to grasp it
it's a foreign concept
