Chapter 67: human's mind

This is the first time i heard jasmine nor my sister scream in anger.

and i tell you it's scar... but not scary enough.

i let go of the man and both of us glared at each other. the three of us went back to our room leaving a piss off mad scientist.

when went back i started fixing my disheveled clothes and saw noah rubbing his eyes while waiting for us outside the room.

"Go back to sleep" he just nod ad went back to the room and we immediately followed.

my eyes landed at the mirror that is still in the room.

"Ugh this is still here... how annoying" i frown and observed the mirror and the people on its reflection.

"Suzue you changed"

i stared at hadley and gave her a confusing glance.

"What do you mean?"

she timidly smile and didn't answer for a bit.

i showed an amused glance and teases him.

"Oh you mean i'm not silent and a dog following my sister anymore? i more like..."

i lazily trailed off and revealed a scary expression causing her to flinch.

"Bow down to me you damn peasant"

lucas sigh and ajax shook his head in amusement.

"Stop bothering the poor girl, Ezu"

"i wasn't" i immediately defended myself at jasmine who's glaring at me.

fine fine, you have no patience anymore okay... i understand.

"Anyway, lucas i need you to confirm something for me"

He turned serious when he saw me becoming serious

"This is our fifth day in this town and the sixth day after leaving the Gi right?"

"yes... it's been 5 days since you left the land. six including the day you three left."

"i see, then we wasted our days doing the same thing then, hearing the same noise, and wearing the same thing, anyway i need to know what really happens when time loop occurs"

"Well it's the re-experiencing e a span of time which is repeated, sometimes more than once.

it's actually like the time went backwards and seems like you went back from the start forgetting the thing you have done on the day.

"then if something happened today and the time loop occurs again... that thing will happen again right?"

He nods... i purse my lip and stared at noah.

"noah how many times did the rain happened?"

he rubs his eyes and nibbles on his lower lip.

"Twice, the second day and last night"

i nod and stared back at lucas.

"if the rain didn't happened five times then it's not a time loop"

He said the same thing that i concluded.

i felt someone held my hand. and i know it's not from ethan. but i just let it.

"It's not... it seems like someone is removing our memory. if i am not mistaken... the spell affect us on day 2... when the day was finished day 3 happened and someone removed our memory from yesterday making us think that it's still day 2."

"What?"

"Heeh stupid" i snicker at his confuse expression that turn into a tired one.

"let me explain it for ya, ya stupid peasant.

today is day 1... we arrived in the afternoon and slept in this inn. when day 2 arrive we did our business. i woke up for a stroll because of the noises... then our day went smoothly except for the explosions...

then we couldn't sleep properly because of it, if i remember correct i just slept for 30 mins... which is enough to erase my memory... day 3 arrive and because we don't remember that day 2 is one... we repeated the same thing we did.

i stroll outside because of the noises and then we did the same thing we did in the day 2 because we didn't know that day 2 already happened... and that we already did the things we did.

And then this happens till this day"

"a bit confusing but i understood"

i just snicker. i notice someone is listening to us and jasmine seem to notice too.

i frown and stared at the outside.

"What's wrong ezu?"

i didn't answer and focuses my attention from the outside... i heard a faint footsteps of walking away.

they were silent and faint, it seems like the owner doesn't want to be notice.

i raise my hand and my shadow move.

"Follow it" and my shadow left me.

"is everything alright?" i heard hadley asked in fake concern.

"yeah... " noah answered for me.

"Anyway... i just need to solve these predicament we are in before going to dasos... you can wait right? if you can't, sucks to be you"

i felt a tug on my sleeve and saw noah.

he seems like he just want to tug on my sleeve so i didn't ask anything.

"then... farewell see you in the dasos.'

"Oi wait! you haven't told us who killed Charles... the deicide kills mercilessly and he just suddenly died"

"Is it already obvious? Xavier killed him... i don't know what poison he used. i am certain he put it in the cake, the tea taste weird but it didn't cause anything on me... i don't know everything, don't ask me

Anyway, charles didn't drank the tea and just ate the cake so the poison is indeed on the cake. did i answer your question?"

"Anyway that's all is it"

"Wait" i stared at the prince and raises my eyebrow as a sign as yes, go ask a useless question.

"WHat happened to lilith... she seem doesn't know us"

stared at jasmine who's done folding and putting the clothes on the bag. she stared at me and tilted her head.

"I hit her too hard, she forgot you guys... she goes by the name jasmine though"

it seems like he doesn't believe but i am pretty sure i didn't told him the real reason.

that's probably the reason why he doesn't believe me... obviously.

i flash a tired smile and the glass shattered into dust.

when it finally goes away. we heard the door opened revealing the mad scientist.

"Ugh, what are you doing here?"

he grown and click his tongue in annoyance.

he really looks like a demon staring at me.

" i heard your voice in the other side of the room. i heard everything about the time loop. or something."
