"so... i'm just a waste of time for you?" rose pitifully asked and made her eyes teary.
Lilith being sensitive to emotions would certainly feel pity on her if her emotions are real. she can clearly sense rage and hatred from the woman so she couldn't help but frown.
she isn't foreign to a woman's hatred. she knows someone feeling the same thing, hadley lockwood.
she remembers the day when she met the woman she haven't done anything yet but she can sense extreme hatred from her and it's towards her.
she then for the first felt disgust... and now it's the second time. she really hates those people who acts like their appearance can make one grovel to them And that they are the center of everything just because they look pretty.
she stared at the woman named rose and felt like the woman is starting to look like hadley in her perspective. because of that she look away and choose to stare at the beautiful kid sitting beside her.
Ethan: "???"
"don't cry or i would really think it's a mistake talking to you" she heard her sister lazily said.
Lilith couldn't help but muffled her laugh. she's right, her sister is really changing.
The first time they met, suzue seems bored and lazy to talk, move or even stare at someone. sometimes she even felt that she's decide to stop breathing one day because she's starting to get tired breathing.
when she's being asked to do something she would just grunt in laziness but would immediately comply. she even remembers her following her always, serving her in silence.
but when they started traveling and meeting new kinds of people she started talking more. she even remembered that she took the initiative to walk in front her and even saved a kid.
lilith then smiled at the kid. because of this kid lilith finally heard the lively tone of her sister.
She really want to witness the tiny changes of her sister. and now she wanted to teach her kindness. no, she knows that her sister is kind. it just that her kindness still depends on her or her people.
she would hesitate to lend her hand to someone if she no one tells her to. lilith doesn't know why did she grew like this. she just assumed that she took it after their father.
"i..."
"i.i .i you you you whatever. anyways i'm leaving" lilith stared at her sister confused
"where are you going?" she asked curious to why is her sister suddenly decided to leave without her.
"I'm going to the mansion to find clues about the whereabouts of the merfolk"
"oh i'm coming as well" suzue stared at ethan who rushes towards her and she immediately carried him before walking out the inn. noah ad the two girls on her tail.
"Wait. lucas is waiting for us in the dasos right?" and on cue, a mirror appeared and the face of tatum greeted them.
When tatum saw the one he has interest on, a smile rose on his lips without his permission. a bit startled but he let it be. he always find himself smiling whenever he sees the albino lady, at first he tried to stop it but he later on just let it be.
"Ezu, are you and the others okay?" eh tried to asked calmly but a faint concern still lingers on his tone.
he heard the woman hum in response. he thought he wouldn't answer just like always. he was surprised when the woman opened her mouth and replied, "yeah, the kraken didn't put up a fight. it was weak and a disappointment, no worries"
He could only utter an, "eh?"
he saw the others stared the woman in shock as well. and then he heard his brother laugh so hard that the thought of him rolling on the ground crosses his mind.
"what the hell are you laughing at you jerk?" tatum stared at his brother also confused.
"Well i'm sorry for laughing at you failed attempt to be nice suzue" he finally said between is muffled laugh.
and then tatum finally realized why and a laugh also escaped in his mouth.
the surprise on her answering his question distracted him from sensing the force on her words. but he felt happy nonetheless. because it's a sign that she's willing to be friends with him... and sooner more than that.
suzue stared at the blond still laughing at her. she clicked his tongue and glared at hi,m. she wanted to slit his trout and gouge his eyes out but decided to just let it be and released a solid humph.
she even heard her sister silently laughing at her and the snicker from the kid on his arms. noah thankfully is just smiling at her.
"that's a great accomplishment suzue, you should keep it up" ryan said praises her and smiled at her.
because of the embarrassment she's feeling she decided to tease the prince
"thank you for your praise prince. i appreciate it" with a sweet smile that she always give towards her sister. Ryan felt the sudden burst of hotness on his cheeks.
"You welcome, you are one of possible allies of mine so i should praise you as well"
suzue stared at his proud and stiff posture and snickers on his mind.
"Anyway let's set unnecessary things aside. do you have any clues on why did he kraken woke up? or who woke him up?" the blush on his cheeks went away and the seriousness that a royal has appeared on the blonde haired prince causing the others to become serious as well.
"So far there are no clues about it your highness. we also decided to find the merfolk and i have a hunch that we can also find some clues about the kraken. but no need to fret your Highness. i made sure to dispose the kraken so it won't cause any trouble.
but i have a slight concern"
"what is it?"
"The kraken was to weak and small i have a feeling that there's more than one kraken in this land"
"i see" suzue waited for the prince to response and stared at him deep in his thoughts. then after a minute in silence he finally spoke
"focus on finding the merfolk. for the time being don't concern yourself on the kraken. but if it show up, dispose it immediately"
"yes, i understand"
"Be careful"
and then the mirror disappeared. suzue took a deep breath and all of them continued walking towards the mansion.
unknown to them a man with brown long hair is eavesdropping from a far. then without no ones knowledge he walk deeper in the alley away from everyone'es sight.
