When Monica's eyes finally opened, she was faced with a wall. She looked at it confusedly before trying to look around her, quickly realising she was in a box— a coffin.
"What the fuck?! Where am I?" She panicked, before realising the coffin was filling with water. Her heart sank. The girl's skin went white as she realised she has been locked in a coffin and dropped to presumably the the bottom of the lake. Monica began to sweat, her breathing quickening also. The blonde then screamed as loud as she could, feeling her lungs ache. "Help!! Please somebody help me!"
"You will put on your tie and stop trying to act like a fucking princess, Maxwell." Mr Montgomery yelled at Monica (who was then Max) as they shook their head with tears welling in their eyes. "Dad— no please-" Before Max could get a word out, their father shoved their head into the sink filled with water, holding his child down as they flailed.
Titus let go of his child as they removed their head from the sink, catching their breath. That was where Maxwell or more commonly know as Monica's, fear of water began.
"Will you obey me, son?" Mr Montgomery asked as little Max shook their head, "I don't want to—" Titus didn't waste another second and went to grab the child again, but they let out an ear piercing scream, catching the attention of Rue.
Rue raced through the house and into the bathroom upon hearing her child scream, and her face fell when she saw the scene in front of her. "Maxie." Rue blurted in barely a whisper. Since Max's coming out, Rue had been calling them Maxie, to experiment if they liked going by a more feminine name.
"Rue-" Titus went to speak but was shoved aside as Rue ran to her child, and cradled them in her arms. "Titus... How could you do this?!" She asked, her eyes filling with tears. "Rue, I will not have a transgender kid. I don't know what fantasy land our son thinks he is living in, but I'm not having it." Titus declared.
"Then get out."
"What?"
"If you can't accept our child for what they are, you can leave.. and never come back."
Tears filled Monica's blue eyes, realising that she couldn't permanently die by drowning and would drown over and over again until she was found. "I... I can't.." She choked out with tear filled eyes.
She inhaled before yelling as loud as she could, "Help!! Somebody help me!!" She tried to flail around hoping that somebody nearby could see the coffin moving, but it only made the water situation worse as it continued to drip inside.

Rue rushed through the Salvatore school, earning a lot of confused looks from students as the older woman wasn't familiar to them. The blonde haired woman looks panicked, unsure of what she had done, but all she knew is that her daughter was missing.
