Chapter 17: Farewell.

"Impossible this when it works. I'll make you take everything back you said about this. I'll make you say I'm right."

If there's definitely one thing she hates.
It's being told it's impossible to do when the solution is already on her hands.

The whole [Mercury Dust] circle that was once pure white was now black. It gave off a dreary tension as shadows emerged from the circle. There stood a shadow entity that took shape of a human but it doesn't have a face. It was just made out of shadows but it looked at Elizabeth and touched her head. 

It was too fast Elizabeth couldn't react. The shadow has her body paralyzed, it chuckled as it reached its hand out to touch her cheek. It spoke out to her, "𝓘 𝓼𝓮𝓮 𝓪 𝓱𝓾𝓶𝓪𝓷 𝓱𝓪𝓼 𝓪𝔀𝓸𝓴𝓮𝓷 𝓶𝓮. 𝓦𝓪𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓸 𝓮𝓷𝓭 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓷𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻-𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝔀𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓸𝓯 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓭𝓸𝓶 𝓲𝓯. 𝓐𝓶 𝓘 𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽?"

"A demon..." Elizabeth muttered under her breath. 'Shit, I made a huge mistake.' she thought to herself cursing. She didn't know there would be weird demons popping out of cursed scrolls. 

The shadow tilted its head and let go of Elizabeth's cheek. "𝓘 𝓯𝓮𝓮𝓵 𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓫𝓽𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓼𝓸 𝓘'𝓶 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓸 𝔀𝓮𝓵𝓵... 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓹," he said chuckling a little. It shook its hands and released very powerful magic. Outside the kingdom, all time stopped. The snow stopped falling and stood still in its place. 

Slowly the snow started to dissipate. This demon- no it was a monster. Whatever it was, it was clearly powerful and strong. Stopping time is beyond their capabilities. 

It was a beautiful scene but rather it came from someone rather dark in the heart. The shadow removed winter into the kingdom but I wonder for how long. It chuckled, "𝓞𝓯 𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓮, 𝓲𝓽'𝓼 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓻𝓮𝓵𝔂 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓮. 𝓘 𝓷𝓮𝓮𝓭 𝓯𝓪𝓲𝓻 𝓽𝓻𝓪𝓭𝓮. 𝓤𝓼𝓾𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂, 𝓘'𝓶 𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓼𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓼 𝓫𝓾𝓽 𝓾𝓼𝓾𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓼𝓸𝓾𝓵 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝔀𝓱𝓸 𝓼𝓾𝓶𝓶𝓸𝓷𝓮𝓭 𝓶𝓮 𝓫𝓾𝓽... 𝔀𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮'𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓯𝓾𝓷 𝓲𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽?"

Elizabeth who was still paralyzed glared at the shadow in response it just gave her this menacing smile so wide that it gave her chills. "𝓣𝓮𝓵𝓵 𝓶𝓮... 𝓦𝓱𝓸 𝓲𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓱𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝓭𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓲𝓷 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽 𝓪𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓶𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽?" It approached more closely, it reached to her forehead and pressed one of its shadows to it. 

Elizabeth didn't felt pain or anything but she felt anxious and that her heart started pounding hard. Eyes dilating,"𝓞𝓱... 𝓘𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰. 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓱𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝓭𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓲𝓼 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓷 𝓫𝓵𝓸𝓸𝓭 𝓻𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝔂𝓸𝓾. 𝓣𝓸 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓴 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓱𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝓭𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓷 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓸𝔀𝓷 𝓫𝓵𝓸𝓸𝓭 𝓯𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓵𝔂."

 
The shadow laughed and released Elizabeth from her paralysis. 

"Are you done playing with me now?" Elizabeth was mad, panicking about what this thing will do after whatever. While there are still good demons, there are bad demons like this one. They are known to be menacing, manipulative, scary, playful, and sometimes even abusive.
