Chapter 15: See you in ten years.

3rd Person's POV

As the weeks went by the three of them got closer as two visited Althea almost every day. 

"Hey!!! You two come on! Slowpokes, you don't have enough muscles to beat me!" (Althea) yelled confidently as she climbed the tallest tree in the orphanage backyard.

Prince Liam was trying to catch up behind her as well as Princess Elizabeth. They were both panting, running out of breath as well as words.

"H-How... *breathes* a-are you... even standing up?" (Prince Liam)

"I-I had lots of training but this is- *breathes* torture..." (Princess Elizabeth)

'I hate this kind of fantasy setting! Why couldn't just the goddess make me op like those weird fantasy novels Arienne reads?! Though some of them have harems and that's a pain to have.'

Althea's lips formed into a cocky grin as she snickered in reply, "Royal brats can never experience the street rat life. N-No offense to you princess!" (Althea)

"N-None... *breathes* taken..."

The three of them decided to do about 15 laps around the orphanage and the occasional tree climbing on the tallest one wins.

It was Althea who won this round. Elizabeth tried stepping forward but her foot really hurt from all that running. 'Ouch... These heels are killing me! Stupid royal dress code traditions.'

The sky was slowly turning grey as the wind howled and a small hail came. Snow came falling down like every normal day and this was the sign that it was time to go home. "It's getting dark. It would be best if we go back before the council worries about you, Princess Elizabeth." (Prince Liam)

She nodded in response and motioned for Althea to get down the tree before she gets hurt, and she did with no whatsoever effort using the vines to get down from there. The three walked back home together chatting and mostly bickering to one another.

"And I thought royals have the most amazing private tutors of all time. Guess that was all talk now that a commoner beat you at something easy as climbing a tree!" (Princess Elizabeth)

"I prefer not showing you my true capabilities because I feel bad if I just let you lose. Royals have sympathy after all." (Prince Liam)

"Heh after all that effort I saw you can't tell me that you were holding back on me. Weak." (Althea)

"TAKE THAT BACK!" (Prince Liam)

"I DON'T TAKE BACK THE TRUTH LITTLE PRINCEY WINCEY. YOU GONNA CALL YOUR MAID AND CRY HUH?"

"I'M A PRINCE AND YOUR WORDS MEAN NOTHING!"

"OH IS THAT DO BUT WHY DO I HEAR SOMETHING CRACKING? I HEAR THE PRIDE AND EGO BREAKING RIGHT NOW."

"WHY YOU LITTLE-"

The two butted their heads at one another while Elizabeth tried catching up to the two.

Elizabeth tired from running, she was slowly walking back into the orphanage house as she limped. The two noticed even when bickering that their other companion was weak.

They forgot she was only five!

"P-Princess are you alright? Do you need help?" (Althea)
