"So, Mr. Hotchner started to respect you more then?"

"Call me Hotch or Hotchner. But yeah I would say I softened up a bit, wouldn't you say so?"

The team let out scoffs and chuckles, " You tested her constantly! You challenged her profiles, even when you KNEW they were spot on. Especially those that even stumped pretty boy!"

"Oh yeah, I remember one of our first trips to the bar together Lena was telling all of us ladies how she wasn't just a profiler. That she also had to become a great debater, just to get her own boss to hear her out. You were so drained after your second week, huh Le?"

"Oh JJ, you bet! The profiling, the emotions involving the cases, still settling into my new place, and there I was being challenged on every move and note I made!"

"No, Hotch I'm not going over the profile again! I've done this four times already! Tell Garcia to put in the new information and you'll have your woman!"

"I profiled a man, Evergreen, why on earth would it be a woman? If you get this right, I'll drop it! Review it one more time or you can stay out of the field for this case!"

"Because Hotchner... a man would not care how the bodies were laid out. A man would not have given them medicine after their victims received their periods!"

I reviewed the profile again and I was firm on my belief. I was not changing my profile, even if it deferred from Hotch's and Rossi's profile! I called Pen and put the phone on speaker so Hotchner could hear as well.

"Hey, Pen! I need you to search for a woman..."

After telling Garcia the new profile, she was silent.

"What is it, Garcia? Was her profile correct?"

I roll my eyes at him and scoff. Was this a game to him?

"Sir... Lena's profile was unfortunately more than correct. I have a name and address, but you guys need to hurry. Her card was just maxed out at a cleaning supply store and the purchases were almost all chemicals."

I suit up and push past Hotch, "Take that bossman! Pain in my ass." I had said that last part under my breath, but it wasn't as quiet as I hoped for.

He let out a small chuckle, "I heard that!"

Derek chuckled, "I like that, she's sassy. Oh my god, guys! I've got it!"

Derek runs out of the station calling out to Lena. the whole team follows behind him in confusion.

"Lena! I got it! I got your nickname!"

Everyone laughs and Hotch tries to hide his smile.

"Really? And what might it be sweet stuff?"

"Sassy!" He says with a big grin and jazz hands. I slap his shoulder and laugh.

"Hmm, you're not wrong she is sassy."

"Wha- EMILY! Oh for that, I get shotgun now! Let's go!"

"I was so fed up with him! I knew he wanted me to prove myself, but damn I thought I had done so with the first case."

Hotch gave Lena a small frown, "I'm sorry honey, I didn't think."
