My eyes went wide at Aaron's comment. I was ready to slap him right across the face, but Jethro interrupting us made me step back and relax my hands. The last thing I needed was to become physical. The tension increased instantly as the two men stared and squinted at each other.

"H-hey, yeah. Let's just go." I cut in to stop the stare down.

"There's actually a few people who are waiting for you." Jethro's face relaxes.

"Jethro, I can't talk anymore tonight." I look at Aaron and shake my head.

Aaron speaks, "So I was right? You're on a first name basis with him. Typical..."

Screw not being physical! I walk up to him, our faces inches apart, and slap him with my open hand. His and Jethro's face go into shock, I step back shaking the pain out of my palm.

"You don't know me, Aaron. Move on! You did this! We do not belong together, remember?" I yell out in a raspy voice, trying to gain my control back.

"Hey Sassy..." Derek and the team walk up slowly.

"Alright, no I can't do- if you guys want to talk you're going to have to give me the night. I'm going home. Come over for dinner tomorrow night, if you're really needing to talk. Jethro, take me home now please." I walk out of the garden and towards the limo.

Aaron's POV

I'm shocked, she just slapped me. Lena, was never a physical person outside of the field. I hold my sore face as I watch her and 'Jethro' leave the garden. The team shoots daggers at the back of my head. Did they hear everything?

"Really? One boss to the next?" Garcia whispers.

"Unbelievable, you have Beth and you..." Prentiss was about to lose it.

"Hotch, you have some nerve. I swear if you talk to her like that again-" Derek was walking towards me fast.

"Cool it Morgan..." I say coldly.

"This is not her fault." Derek shouts.

"You let the purest thing in your life get away." JJ says, with her eyes watering.

"Everyone leave me be now! I'm sick of this!" I yell.

They were right but it's too late and I would still have the same issue. Lena made me happy but weak, strong but distracted. I can't risk our jobs.

"You know you really don't allow yourself to be happy. Do ya kid?" David pats me on the shoulder and walks away.

Lena's POV

Jethro followed closely behind me and opened up my car door. I slid into my seat and took off my shoes. I rested my head on the window as Jethro settled into his seat.

"Lena-"

"Don't" I sigh and pat his hand.

"I'm here, when you're ready." He rubbed his thumb on my forearm.
