"I can't Lucy. I'm sorry but I can't." I apologized.

Lucy begged on the other side of the phone for me to come back home. I loved her and I missed her just as much but I couldn't go back.

"Lucy I told you, I can't. I have to go now. Bye." I hung up quickly and switched my phone off.

I had to rest. No drama. Just a stress free Sunday. I sinked into the silky sheets and rested my eyes. Ah, heaven. I had the opportunity of staying at a five star hotel, therefore I had to enjoy every minute because unfortunately it would only last until tomorrow morning. Kinda like a Cinderella deal but I wasn't complaining. I'd probably have to book myself at a cheaper hotel for the week but one thing's for sure, I couldn't go back home. I just needed to rest. With all the bruises on my face, I'd have to be prepared for all the stares I'd get at school tomorrow.

I removed my cluttered thoughts with a single breath and fell into a deep sleep.

"No way! You didn't!" Luke exclaimed in disbelief, his fork hitting the table.

"Heck yeah I did! Walked right up to the guy and punched him in the face." I declared proudly.

It was obviously a lie. If anything, I wasn't a violent person. I was rather friendly and caring. Dad thought it was a weakness but I believed in kindness.

Luke seemed shocked and opened his mouth to talk again but dad interrupted him. "Oh come on Luke! Don't tell me you buy his story? I know my son, he wouldn't hurt a fly."

I shrugged it off and smiled before taking a sip from my glass of lemonade.

Dad cleared his throat. "Any girlfriend Troy? Or should I say girlfriends?" He asked with a sly grin.

"Nope. I'm done with girls." I admitted.

"Why? There are some beautiful women here in New York and I'd like some grandkids please." He whined, a bummed expression on his face.

"I agree with dad, besides I'd make a great uncle don't you think Troy?" Luke added quickly.

"Okay if you guys don't stop, I'll return to New Jersey and never come back. I'm only eighteen just in case you two forgot." I reasoned with them.

Dad raised his hands in surrender and Luke chuckled.

We ate in silence for a bit before dad's phone rang. "Excuse me." He apologized before getting up and walking away, leaving me and Luke alone.

"How's things going at the gym?" I asked him breaking the silence.

"Everything's going well. I'm barely there. I just check up on things and then leave again."

"Boss man huh?" I remarked with a wink.

"Let dad hear that and I'm fired!" He exclaimed nervously, as dad walked back into the dinning room. His face held a serious expression.

"Everything okay dad?" I asked.

"No." He responded coldly before turning his face to Luke. "Luke, I have a meeting in a hour with the Montgomeryville company, and I can't turn them down, I need your help."

Luke sprung up from his chair and stood like a solider. "How can I help?" He asked.

"The Refinery hotel just called. I need you to drop some important files off at the Secretary entrance, it's some design plans for the upgrade and it's very important that Mr.James gets it be—"
