Paralysis and Dream walked through the forest, a comfortable silence between them, both needing a break from what was happening with the Crew.
"Pary, look," Dream said, tugging at his hand. "A house."
"It's probably just abandoned," Pary stated. "There's no way an average house would last in this world."
"We can go look at it anyways," Dream pressed. "Who knows what we could find in there?"
Rolling his many eyes, Pary went with Dream to the seemingly empty house. The door creaked open, Dream starting to walk in before being held back by Pary.
"There could be traps," Pary said when Dream looked in confusion.
He threw a stick into the house, it clattering on the floor, echoing throughout the empty house.
The two stepped in cautiously, searching the floor and walls for anything that could come at them.
Searching the full house, it appeared to have sheltered a family of two adults, two children.
"This was a latchers' doing," Pary stated, picking up the shattered skeleton of a little girl. "No normal wild animal would do this to a human skeleton on purpose."
Paralysis, not really having control or care for what happened to the strangers of this world, moved on, Dream behind him.
They got to the back door, walking out of it and looking at the back. It had a sort of overgrown, broken, rusted chain fence surrounding it. There was something in the center, a washed out blue circled edge, with some sort of black material in the middle, held up by metal legs.
They stared at it in confusion, unsure of what it was. Pary approached it slowly, hopping onto it when it didn't do anything.
"It bounces," Pary told Dream, helping him up.
They jumped a bit together, not going very far off the material, but far enough to enjoy themselves.
"I think it's something I'd heard of called a trampoline," Pary said.
"I've heard of those before," Dream replied. "They were children's entertainment."
"I see," Pary mused.
The two lay on top of the 'trampoline', staring through the leaf canopy calmly.
"We should head back home now," Dream stated. "The others might worry."
"What's there to worry about?" Pary questioned. "You've got me."
"True," Dream agreed, yawning.
He moved a bit to curl into Paralysis' side, under the crook of his arm, planning to take a nap in the warm outside under the leaf canopy the trees created.
"Good afternoon, I guess," Paralysis said, curling slightly into Dream as well, the two taking a nap in the light of the day.
