It was one of the colder nights in the season, all windows closed and a fire burning calmly to warm the house. Paralysis shivered, the cold still reaching it's icy fingers throughout the house, chilling down to the bone, the fire almost no help.
Paralysis tried hugging Dream's warm body closer, but he was gone. Paralysis cracked his eyes open, seeing himself alone. He sat up, looking through the house, not hearing or seeing any other presence in the home.
"∴ᒷ ℸ ̣ 𝙹ꖎ↸ ||𝙹⚍ ⍑ᒷ ∴𝙹⚍ꖎ↸ ꖎᒷᔑ⍊ᒷ. ∴ᒷ ℸ ̣ 𝙹ꖎ↸ ||𝙹⚍ ⍑ᒷ ↸╎↸リ'ℸ ̣ ᓵᔑ∷ᒷ ⎓𝙹∷ ||𝙹⚍. ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ╎ℸ ̣ ∴ᔑᓭ ᔑꖎꖎ ⋮⚍ᓭℸ ̣ ᔑ !¡ꖎᔑ╎リ 𝙹ꖎ↸ ⋮𝙹ꖌᒷ, ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ∴𝙹⚍ꖎ↸ ᔑʖᔑリ↸𝙹リ ||𝙹⚍ ᔑリ↸ ᓭ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ℸ ̣ ᒷ∷ ||𝙹⚍ ⎓∷𝙹ᒲ ╎リᓭ╎↸ᒷ. ᔑꖎꖎ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ⊣ᔑ╎リ ||𝙹⚍∷ ꖎ𝙹⍊ᒷ ᔑリ↸ ℸ ̣ ∷⚍ᓭℸ ̣ ᔑリ↸ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷリ ʖ∷ᒷᔑꖌ ||𝙹⚍. ╎⎓ 𝙹リꖎ|| ||𝙹⚍ ꖎ╎ᓭℸ ̣ ᒷリᒷ↸~" the voices sneered inside Paralysis' head.
He's not gone, Paralysis thought to himself. He wouldn't abandon me like that.
Not wanting to believe Dream had abandoned him, he stood and walked around, a blanket around his shoulders.
"Dream?" he called softly. "Dream, where did you go?"
"Paralysis?" he heard a voice from somewhere. "Paralysis, you okay?"
"Dream?" Paralysis called again, looking around.
"Paralysis!"

Dream shook Paralysis awake, having heard him call his name and hearing Paralysis' whimpers, seeing his shivers.
Paralysis' eyes cracked open, seeing Dream and hugging him closer, shaking in relief that it was all just a nightmare.
"What happened?" Dream asked softly, holding Paralysis tight as well.
"I thought you left..." Paralysis whispered. "I thought you were gone forever..."
"Well I'm right here for you," Dream replied. "I'm right here."
