Vow

You stood at the beginning of the aisle, the echoing hum of a piano beckoned you forward. You couldn't say you missed your dad, but you did wish you had someone, anyone to stand there beside you and walk with you.

Maybe that's why you stood there for too long, so long in fact that everyone started to look confused.
Draco had started to step away from the small stage he waited on when someone stopped him.

You watched as Goyle stood from his seat, walking down the aisle toward you, stopping and turning once he reached your side. You weren't sure what to expect.

"May I?" He asked, holding his arm out to you. You looked at him, then his arm.

"Thank you" you nodded, wrapping your arm around his. Everyone looked at the two of you as he walked you toward where Draco stood, Draco of course was just as shocked as everyone including you at Goyles action.

Just as you reached the few stairs before you Goyle stopped, turning to face you as if he may speak.
Instead he just bowed his head gently, before returning to his seat.

This could not be real?

You turned back to Draco, seeing Lucius who though still weakened looked stronger with every single day.
He even smiled as Draco reached his hand for you.
"You're so beautiful" he sounds of his words pulled at the strings of your heart.

"You're not so bad yourself" you teased as you joined him. Stranding with fingers laced into once another's.

"Dearly beloved" a man you didn't recognize started. "We are gathered here, before friends, family and Merlin. To unite these two magic persons in what is the greatest bond two can ever make" you knew your hands were starting to shake when Draco laced his fingers in yours.

"You okay?" He whispered as the man spoke loudly, maybe too loud considering the intimacy of the group.

"I'm better than I've ever seen" you whispered back, Draco leaned his head down. Kissing the top of your hand so softly it felt like butterfly wings.

"And who will be binding these two?" Was the kind that pulled you back in.

"Me" Lucius spoke up, walking to stand along side the man.

"Alright Mr. Malfoy, I will have you take your wand and cast the unbreakable vow" the man explained "and repeat after me. If you will"

You were shocked at Lucius, who Narcissa had said was still unsure to be the one to law the spell. You thought for sure she'd be the one doing it.

He nodded, taking out the wand he had gotten to replace the one The Dark Lord had destroyed.

"If you would both," the man made a mocking gesture of what he needed you to do. You did it, the arms untainted by the dark marks clasping around one another. "With this vow" the man began.

"With this vow" Lucius repeated.

"You promise to cherish, love and protect" "You promise to cherish, love and protect"

"One another through all" "one another through all"

"You make this unbreakable vow" "you make this unbreakable vow"

"In dedication to one another" "in dedication to one another"

"Over all else" "over all else. Through the ends of the earth you devote your life to protect and serve one another" Lucius spoke beyond the mocking lines he had been given. "And you both swear to do whatever it takes to stay alive"

You and Draco looked at him, your arms glued to one another by a string of white light. The vows mark.

"I vow" you nodded.

"I vow" Draco's voice was a meek whisper. Clearly this was something decided by only Lucius. Seeing as Narcissa's hand had covered her mouth, and the tears she had once managed to push away rolled down her face.

The light string that sat in your skin faded into it, licking the unbreakable vow into the deepest parts of your very soul. A huge promise to make. But you knew it was one you could keep.

The man held out your rings, watching as you put his on. One you both had chosen, and the one you hadn't seen.

An elegant silver band ornate with a Smokey diamond. You couldn't imagine the price, nor would you ask. But considering the size of the stone, you could only imagine.

"With the vow made, and hearts melded together through magic before Merlin and those you love. I now pronounce you. Husband and wife. You may-"
Before he could finish his words Draco had pulled you to him, his lips had met yours. His arms wrapping around your back and making any space between you disappear.

Fire works.
Those damn, cliche fireworks.

You were only broken apart by Daphne making a gentle coughing noise, and her face as she raised her eyebrows at you. Oops, too much okay.

You were met with a wave of love, hugs and praising words.

You lingerd when Goyle stood before you, he smiled and you pulled him into a hug.
"Thank you"

You were back at the manor within the hour, wearing a dress Daphne had gotten you as a gift, carrying the gifts they had all gotten you. Including once from Narcissa and Lucius.

But even with the magnificent and lavish gifts all you could look at was the one that sat so perfectly at its home in your finger.

You all apparate into the parlor planning to have a small dinner before the meeting, or that was the plan.

As you opened the massive doors to the dining room you were all stopped by the packed table.

"Welcome back!" The Dark Lord's voice was all but cheery. "Sit" he waved his hand. You all moved fast to take your seats. Every eye at the table watching you as you sat in your line down the table side.

"Thank you for joining us!" He nearly yelled. "Oh, and Draco... y/n... congratulations"
