“Here, I’ve made dinner for you, Princess,” Ascena says.

I hum. “Thank you… it’s amazing! It looks delicious, doesn’t it?”

All of the dishes on the table before me are my favorites.

Ascena chuckles. “I got excited at the thought of serving food for you, Princess.”

I hum. “Thank you, Ascena!” I say as I hug her tightly and pat her head. Her fluffiness is irresistibly comfortable.

“Pri-Princess…?” Ascena gasps before she giggles.

It looks like Ascena doesn’t mind. Anyway, let’s eat this food before it gets cold.

“Well then, Ascena: I’m digging in!”

“Yes!” Ascena says. “Enjoy <3”

First and foremost, I’ll bite into the omelet rice. Yup! These eggs have become so fluffy and irresistible thanks to impeccable technique! And this is… Ascena made ketchup from scratch?!

“You went so well out of our way… again!” I say.

Ascena snorts. “You are a princess, after all…”

Jeez! I have the best attendant ever!

After eating dinner and having a bath, Ascena was sitting at my chabudai table1 with a serious face. “Princess, I have a report,” she says.

“Hmm? What is it?” I ask.

I wonder… have I already been betrayed?!

“I believe the school’s practical training will start tomorrow,” Ascena says. “Please refrain from using the Demon King’s magic during it. No matter the context, if you use that kind of power at school…”

Ascena doesn’t say anything else. If I use the magic of the Demon King’s army and am found out, the teachers will be like sharks smelling blood in the water and attack. And maybe I…

“I know,” I said. “It’s fine, I remember a lot of the magic used by humans. I’m already at the top of the new students, aren’t I?”

“Oh, of course!” Ascena said. “You’re second to none, Princess!”

“Geez! Really, Ascena!” I cry as I hug and pat her again.

Ascena squeals. “Princess~! It’s embarrassing!”

“It can’t be helped,” I say, “it’s been too long since we last met.”

Ascena starts making some suspect giggles… time to stop for now.

“Right, let’s go to bed early tonight to prepare for tomorrow,” I said.

I spread my futon out and I’m all set for the night! And unrelated, what kind of Yusha Faces will I see tomorrow <3! It’s so good to enjoy school like this.

“Good night, Princess,” Ascena says.

“Yes, good night, Ascena,” I say.

Ascena falls asleep with a small sigh. Really… was she so excited to be reunited? I’m happy.

“Princess? Princess! It’s already morning!”

Morning? I was just about to go to sleep…

“Classes start today,” Ascena says. “Here! You’re lunch box!”

“Ehh?!” I cry. “Is this alright? Ah, thank you, Ascena!”

I’m glad… she’s so kind to me…

“It’s nothing, I’m looking forward to seeing you later,” Ascena says. Have a nice day!”

“Right, I’m heading out!” I said.

With such a good attendant, I got to school in a good mood! Normally it would be such a hassle. Well, I’m also going to have fun seeing Yusha again <3!”

“Lily! Good mor-ning!

Wham! I was hit on the back. Speak of the devil!

“Good morning, Yusha,” I say.

“Hmm?” Yusha asks. “Is it really? You look a little sick?”

“You’ve just got too much energy…” I say.

“Do you live around here, Lily?” Yusha asks.

“Yes, in the apartment. And you?”

“Same!” Yusha says. “I’m renting a house near the school~!”

Is that so… we have something unexpected in common.

“I see! Well, we’re in the same party anyway, so let’s go to school together in the morning!” Yusha said.

“Oh!” I cry. “Is that okay?”

I can’t believe I just got such a wonderful proposal from Yusha! Did I die and go to heaven?!

“Of course!” Yusha says. “If you want to, of course.”

“Then in that case… I’d love to, Yusha.”

Yusha hums. “I’m looking forward to today’s class.”

Somehow, my school life is so fun…!
