“Princess, please wake up!”

“Hmm… is it morning already?”

It was… I didn’t feel like I slept at all. I’m having trouble sleeping only about 7 hours out of 24. I want to sleep for at least half that.

“Good morning, Ascena.”

Moving on… was it a practical training day today? I was sure we had a lecture on long-range and support magic in the morning and then in the afternoon.

I ate breakfast and dashed off to school! It’s a weekend when today is over. I feel a little nervous! And I’ll meet with Yusha again today! Right at this corner where we met yesterday.

“Good morning, Lily. Did you wait long?”

“No, I just arrived,” I said.

It sounds like we’re on a real date. To be fair, I did just arrive.

“I’m looking forward to today,” Yusha said. “Oh yeah! And since we’re off tomorrow, let’s all go somewhere! Let’s deepen our bonds of friendship!”

“Sounds good to me! Any fun places in mind?”

“Yep!” Yusha hums playfully. “But, it’s a secret for now! Look forward to it tomorrow and do your best today?”

What in the world… she’s so cute.

“Understood,” I see. “I’m looking forward to it, it’s good motivation.”

“That’s great to hear!”

She’s such a straightforward girl. My spirit is renewed… this is what love is like!

“Lily, something wrong? Your face is all red? Wait, do you have a cold?!”

“That’s right!” I say. “I’m fine, though, don’t worry.”

“Hmm, I’m still worried,” Yusha said. “And you’re still looking beautiful, aren’t you, Lily?”

“Hu-huh?!” I sputter. “I don’t think so…”

It’s not that I’m without any self-confidence. It’s just caught me from out of the blue, is all.

“I think so! Your long black hair and face are so pretty! I’m so envious.”

“I-I also think your pink two-side up hair and face is cute too, Yusha!”

“You mean it?! I’m happy to get a compliment from the beautiful Lily~!”

We walked to school like that till we eventually arrived. I wonder how many times I’ve found myself in a bind just getting here…

“Good morning…!” Yusha says.

She seems to have become friends with our classmates before I knew it and greets many of the other students. I don’t have that kind of social skills, so I just go to my seat.”

“… Morning.”

“G-good morning!”

“Good morning, Shilde, Hira!” Yusha

And now the trio with poor communication skills are complete. I wonder what would have happened to this party if we didn’t have Yusha… I’m getting scared just imagining it.

“No, everyone’s all good and fine!” I said.

“Yusha’s still the best, though, isn’t she?”

“Aha~! That she is!”

I stretch my arms and appear just as energetic. Such an atmosphere is also cute… ah, the teacher’s here.

“Right, let’s start class. Hey! Ms. Shilde, don’t fall asleep the moment you see me!”

Shilde clucks her tongue and mutters something the teacher can’t hear. She’s completely unrepentant…

After a lecture that was simple for me, it’s time to have lunch then practical training afterward.

“Today, we’re starting with support magic,” the teacher said. “Each party should pair up and cast it on each other.”

I’m with Hira, Yusha decided to pair up with Shilde. In the current ranking, 1st is Yusha, 2nd is me, 3rd is Shilde, and 4th is Hira, so I feel like it’s a fair distribution.

“Right, Hira, cast with confidence!” I say.

“Yes! I’m going to do just that!” Hira said.

“… Huh?”

“‘Recovery’!”

Thi-This is! It’s such strong healing magic!

“You’re amazing, Hira! You’ve got a special knack for this!”

Hira chuckles nervously. “… I’ve been working hard to help everyone.”

Incredible… our party might be very well-balanced.

Shilde lets out a cry. “Damn it… still nothing?”

Shilde is struggling because the magic doesn’t seem to fit her personality and she skips lectures. Well, that’s just to be expected. Incidentally, with Yusha…

“‘Sacred Recovery!'”

The recovery effect spreads throughout the entire room! How is she this amazing?!

Yusha chuckles sheepishly and says, “Oopsie~”

After that show of extraordinary skill, she’s got an embarrassed face like usual.
