Your mom and dad were working late, so you were babysitting your little siblings. You picked them up and finally arrive home after a long day at school.
"Do you all want something to eat?" you ask your siblings
"Can we have some chips please Y/N?" Bailey asks
"No! Chocolate!" Ellis says
"No! Skittles" Zola replies
"Okay!Chips for Bailey, Chocolate for Ellis and Skittles for Zola" you reply, grabbing some bowls. You give your siblings their snacks and a drink and turn on the TV for them. You babysit a lot, but you don't mind because you know how demanding your parents' jobs are. You sit at the table and start your homework.
An hour has passed, you finished your work and your siblings are starting to get bored.
Ellis walks up to you and sits on your lap and says: "Y/N i'm bored, can we play a game?"
"Sure! What do you want to play?" you ask
"Can we play Candy Land" Zola asks. You nod your head and grab the game.
"You guys set up the game and i'll order some pizza with the money dad left me" you say. You order the food and join your siblings on the table.
For the next half hour, you play Candy Land and unsurprisingly, Zola won.
Suddenly, the doorbell rings. You stand up and open the door.
"Thank you!" You say to the Pizza Guy and give him the money.
"Yay! Pizza" your siblings say
"Okay, we have a large margarita pizza, a large pepperoni pizza and juice!" you say, putting the food on plates. You and your siblings all sit around the table and eat your dinner.
You all finish your dinner and you say "Okay Ellis, let's get you in the bath and off to bed!"
"No Y/N! Please can I stay up?" Ellis begs
"No Ell, you have school tomorrow! How about if you get in the bath now, I'll read you a story before bed." you reply. Ellis nods her head and you pick her up.
"You two be good down here okay, If you need me just call my name okay" you say to Bailey and Zola, who are sitting on the sofa
You run Ellis a bath and lay out her pj's . Once her bath is ready, you undress her and put her in the water.
"Y/N when are mommy and daddy coming home?" Ellis asks
"Soon, i promise" you reply
"Why are they always working?" she asks, she's too young to understand your parents' jobs.
"Because mommy and daddy save peoples lives! So they need to work a lot to save people." you explain
"Like superheroes?" Ellis says
"Yes, just like superheroes." you laugh. You take her out of the bath, put her pjs on and read her a bedtime story.
"Goodnight Y/N, I love you." Ellis says
"Night night Ellis, I love you more." you give your sister a kiss and close the door. One down, two to go.
"Okay Bailey, you can go get in the shower now." you say, luckily for you he was old enough to wash himself so you could have a rest. You go upstairs with him and turn on the shower. You let him shower and go to his room and set out his Pj's. You walk downstairs and see Zola reading on the sofa.
"Hey, what you reading?" you ask
"Dork Diaries!" she says
"I use to love them when I was your age! Who's your favourite character?" you ask
"Definitely Nikki" she replies. You go back upstairs to tuck Bailey in.
"Goodnight Bailey, I love you." you say
"Night Y/N, love you too." he says. You kiss the top of his head and close the door. 2 down, one to go.
"Okay Zozo, you can get in the shower now." you say
"Y/N can I talk to you?" Zola asks
"Sure! What's wrong?" you sit next to your sister
"School is really hard. Usually i'm the top of my class but now i'm not. I feel like a failure." she says
"You are no where near a failure Zola! You are the smartest kid I have ever met." You say and hug your sister
"Thank you, I love you." she says
"I know what will make you feel better." you say. Zola looks up at you. "Dance it out. I mean that's what mom does and it works!"
"No way, i can't dance!" Zola says
"Neither can mom! Come on, it'll be fun!" you drag your sister up and turn on some music.
"I hate this song." Zola groans
"Girls just wanna have fun is like one of the best songs ever! Now, shut up and dance it out!" you say, dancing very badly. Zola slowly starts to dance along with you and then you're both dancing all over the living room.
"Feel better?" you ask, grabbing some water from the fridge
"Yeah, thanks Y/N your a great sister!" Zola says
You both lay together on the sofa, curled up on the sofa watching Netflix.
"Hey i'm home!" your mom says
"Hi, Zola's asleep." you whisper, trying not to wake up your sister. You mom takes Zola up to her room and tucks her in.
"We have some pizza leftover, do you want some?" you ask
"Yes please, i'm starving!" your mom says
"Where's dad?" you ask
"He's still in surgery, he'll be home in about an hour." you mom says
"Oh okay. I put Bailey and Ellis to bed before, we played Candy Land and had pizza for dinner. When i was bathing Ellis she asked why you and dad work so much. I explained to her how you save lives and she said like superheroes? And i said yeah like superheroes. Bailey went to sleep instantly, he probably had a busy day at school." you tell your mom
"Thank you for babysitting Y/N. Your such a good little girl." she says and you smile
"But when i told Zola to get in the shower, she told me that she feels like she's stupid because she's not the top of her class at the moment. I told her that she's the smartest kid i know and we danced it out. I thought well if it helps you then it can help Zola." you say
"Aw that's so sweet of you. Zola just likes being the best all the time, that's why she is so hard on herself. Your a great sister Y/N." your mom hugs you. For the rest of the night you watch Clueless with your mom and go to sleep.
