you were going to the mall with your friends today but you really didn't want to. you had a bad feeling about today, like a sixth sense that something bad will happen. you lay in bed, staring at your wall when your mom walks in your room.

"morning princess! you have to get ready, you're meeting your friends soon" she says

"i'm not going, i have a bad feeling that something will happen" you sigh

"what? don't be silly, nothing will happen! besides you were begging me to go the other day because you needed jeans or something" she replies

you sit up "have you ever had the feeling? like if you go somewhere or do something it won't end well so it's best to stay home in bed binge-watching Gilmore girls?"

"yeah, quite a lot of times really"your mom says

"and were you ever right?" you ask

your mom sits next to you "well yeah once or twice"

"and what happened?"

"i held a bomb and almost blew up?"

"yeah i'm not going" you insist

"but that's not gonna happen! it will be a good day
y/n, you will get your jeans and some other things, maybe lunch, you'll try on clothes with your friends and have an amazing time" mom says

"i guess, okay i'll go because this is just me overthinking and i need jeans asap" you smile. your mom leaves your room and you get dressed, do your hair and throw some makeup on. you grab your things and go downstairs to grab a granola bar before leaving the house.

"bye i'm going, i'll be home around 5!" you shout

"okay honey, love you! stay safe!" your mom says and you close the door behind you. you make your way to the bus stop, where you planned to meet abbey, jordan and elle. finally they arrive and you all make your way to the mall.

"y/n are you okay?" jordan asks

"huh? oh yeah im fine, it's nothing" you say, hiding the fact you feel like something is going to go wrong very soon. you arrive at the mall and make your way to brandy.

you all look around the store when you see addison at the till.

"y/n? hey!" she calls

"hey addie, what are you doing here?" you ask

"i needed a new coat for work, which i am now late for, great! have fun with your friends and show me what you got later! love you" she says and hugs you

"bye, love you too!" you say and walk off to the jeans section.

"who was that?" elle asks

"addison, she's the fetal surgeon at the hospital, and my dads ex-wife" you explain

"your dads ex-wife? surely that's weird" abbey asks

"not really, it was years ago and they're friends now but addisons always been there for me, kinda like the cool aunt you know?" you reply. you pick up some mom jeans and pay before leaving the store. you go into a couple others shops and have so much fun, you're glad your mom got you out of bed to go now.

"i'm starving, can we please get some lunch" elle begs

"same, let's go find somewhere" jordan says and you all make your way to the food court.
