Recently you have been experiencing terrible migraines. You had to take the day off school yesterday because the pain was so bad.

You put on your glasses and go downstairs. "Morning" you say

"Morning. How's your headache?" Your dad asks

"Meh." you groan

"Do you want another day off?" Your mom asks

"No i'll be okay, I have to go to school today. It's just a headache i'll just take some painkillers" You say.

—————————AT SCHOOL——————————

You've taken 5 painkillers and the pain still isn't going. You have your head down in Chem class, blocking out all light.

"Y/N!" Mr Khan shouts. You shoot up from the desk

"y-yes sir" you say, rubbing your head. Luckily the bell goes, you leave class and take another painkiller.

"What are you doing Y/N?" Isla asks

"Searching up the reason why my headache is so bad." you say, looking at your phone

"Has your headache still not gone?" she asks and you nod.

"It says here i'm either pregnant or it's a brain tumour?" You look at the screen confused "Well i'm definitely not pregnant"

"Your dad's a neurosurgeon, surely he would've noticed" she says

"It's not a brain tumour. The symptoms of a brain tumour are headaches, seizures, nausea, mental or behavioural changes, progressive weakness or vision or speech problems. It's just a headache because i don't have any other of those symptoms" You explain and Isla stares at you in amazement "I spend a lot of time in hospitals"
You take another painkiller and finish your lunch.

You go to your final lesson of the day when you feel a wave of nausea come up. You run over to the bin and vomit.

"Nausea. Another symptom" Isla says

You look up at her "I'm fine" You vomit into the bin once again.

"That's it, i'm taking you to the nurses' office" Isla insists. You nod and start to walk to the nurses' office

"Name" she says

"Y/N Grey-Shepherd." you say

"And why are you here" she asks

"i've had a migraine for a week and i was just sick in the bin." you explain

"I'll call a parent. Take a seat" She says

"Thanks Isla. I'll text you later" You say
You take some more painkillers to help the pain.

OVER THE PHONE
"Hello?" mom says
"Hello this is Y/N's school. She was just sick in school and is complaining of bad migraines" she says
"Oh god. Okay can you tell her to come to Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital now please, I work here" she says

"Okay your mom told me to send you to her work. Get well soon" The nurse says

"Thank you" you say

—————————AT THE HOSPITAL———————
You walk into the hospital holding your head in pain.

Your mom runs up to you and hugs you "Oh honey, how are you feeling" She asks

"Worse. I felt even worse on the way here" You say. Suddenly, you faint and fall to the floor.

"Quick get a gurney!" she shouts. Your lifted on to a gurney and taken to a room.
