Mani looked up when I called to him.
"...Hi, Tsubasa," Mani said pulling his knees into his chest.
"Hey, are you okay?"
"...I'll, be alright," he replied.
I sighed, "Mani, Suna told me about the nightmares.
He turned to face me, his mouth open like he wanted to say something. He then turned looked back at the ground pulling his knees closer into his chest.
He sighed deeply.
I closed my eyes trying make the right words come to mind.
Nothing came.
I took another deep breath and just started speaking.
"Mani, you don't have to say anything. Just know I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. Alright?" I asked with a smile.
He looked up at me and had a cheerful look on his face. Without a word or a gesture I understood.
"Well, then I do have to ask are you feeling well enough to leave and head back to town?"
"Oh, right. Can you give me five minutes?"
"Sure, let me go talk with Suna."
I walked back over to her.
"Well?" She asked.
"He says he's alright, and he'll be ready to go in five minutes. I told he can talk to me whenever."
"...oh, okay."
