Without skipping a beat, the creature reappeared in front of me and slammed its weight down on me.
I took the brunt of the attack but managed to remain standing. About five sixths of my stamina was gone, and I was at about half health.
Behind me, Mani and Suna had regrouped. Mani was standing behind Suna, healing her. Both had their eyes on the creature.
Good.
They seemed to be improving. Before either one of them would have turned their backs to the enemy.
Now, it's time for me to do my job and keep this thing off their backs.
"Expluse!" I said between the enemy's attacks. A wave of psychic energy expanded outward, pushing the enemy backward. This attack dealt damage while applying a speed debuff.
I then attacked once more with [Mind Bolt] reapplying the damage over time to the target, and followed up with [Rend] a move that damaged and stunned the target.
My goal was to keep aggro on me while they healed.
A moment later and a pale-red light began to appear around me.
"Ameliorate!" Mani shouted.
I watched my health go from about one-fourth to two-thirds full.
I couldn't help but smile.
