The two immediately without saying a word ran up to me and drove themselves straight into my chest and wrapped their arms around my waist.
All I could think to do was pat their heads.
"Are you two okay?" I asked.
They both shook their heads.
It was obvious without needing to ask. They were not okay.
"You ready to leave?" I asked.
They both nodded.
"Alright, let's head back after we heal up, okay?" I said.
They once again nodded.
After sitting down in the safe zone, we wordlessly ate some rations and restored our hunger, thirst, and health.
"Alright, let's get going."
The two stood up slowly. Their heads hanging toward the ground. I couldn't stand seeing them like this.
We quickly made our way up through the dungeon back to the surface.
As we walked out of the dungeon, I stopped.
"Hey, hold up for a minute," I said out loud to the two.
Mani and Suna turned toward me. At that moment, I hugged the two of them, placing my hands on their heads.
"You two did so well today, I'm proud of you. We'll make it through this. Don't give up."
