The moment I had my hands up to block a force slammed down, forcing me downward. My legs began to buckle as I collapsed to one knee.
Before I had a chance to regain my composure another force struck me in my side forcing me sideways across the ground.
When I came to a halt and sat up I felt a mix of pain and numbness on my right side and intense pain as if I had been hit by a baseball on my left side. I didn't have time to worry about that. I looked in the direction of where the attack came.
I saw that creature bearing down on Mani and Suna.
Despite being a healer, Mani had his arms outstretched as if to shield his sister.
The creature had then begun to raise its arms as if to attack.
"No!" I shouted, spinning to my feet and pushed off the ground in two swift motions.
I began to channel my next attack, "Psionic Field!" A wave of energy expanded outward.
This arte wouldn't stop or interrupt the attack, but it would reduce the damage they would take.
