After mere moments, the thing began to move with a speed that betrayed its appearance. Its movement was a weird, unsettling mix between a slug and a caterpillar.
It wasn't unrealistic fast but fast enough that I would have to make an effort to keep my footing.
After approaching me, a single bone spear jutted from its body directly at my chest.
I quickly side stepped narrowly, avoiding the attack. After planting my feet, I prepared my counterattack.
Before I could even move into position, another bone spear launched forward toward me. This time, it clipped me.
"So that's how this is going to be," i said under my breath.
I jumped backward and unleashed an arte, Mind Bolt. The boss took damage, and a damage over time effect was applied.
The attack barely phased it. It just kept moving toward me. I jumped back once more and hit it with another arte, Rend.
The attack stunned it but no more than a fraction of a second. Again, it tried to skewer me with its bone spear. I jumped back once more, but this time, after its spear had retracted, I struck it with several basic attacks.
