38: Upset

Arthur has spent a lot of time with Josh, getting to know his son more and more. He felt so happy to be a father, for him Josh is an adorable little guy. Josh would hug his father as often as he could, and he would cry whenever Arthur had to leave hence why Arthur would leave just after Josh fell asleep.

His relationship with Jessy has started getting well. He had learnt to forgive her and slowly getting there, though he would never forget what she had done. There were still some awkwardness between them but they only speak to each others when it's necessary.

Jessy was not always there in the same room when Arthur visited. She gave as much privacy as she could for Arthur to bond with his son. She has promised Thea to respect her and Arthur's marriage, and she will keep that promise. She will try not to get attached to Arthur, no matter how hard it will be because after all, she still loves him. But again, she is not an evil person. She respects and values marriage, she won't ruin anything between them.

It has been 2 weeks since her comeback, she has felt nothing but grateful that Josh is happy to meet his father. There was a time when Josh surprised her by asking her where 'daddy' was. Jessy had told her son about Arthur by showing him his photo, telling Josh it's 'daddy'. She didn't want Josh to grow up not knowing who his father was so she tried to introduce Arthur by showing him the picture, until one day when Josh turned 2 he decided to ask his mother where his daddy was.

"Okay, which one do you prefer, buddy. This one, or this one?" Arthur asked Josh, showing him Paw Patrol and Blaze and the Monster Machines toys. Of course Josh would pick Paw Patrol. "Ah I see you love dogs more than cars"

Josh cheered as he took Chase's toy figure. "Paw Patlol!"

Arthur proudly smiled as he watched his son playing with his new toy that Arthur just bought for him. He has been spoiling Josh a lot with toys and affection.

"I want Paw Patlol dog" Josh said, sitting on his father's lap.

"We will get you a dog when you are older, okay?"

"Okay!"

Jessy shook her head, watching the boys talk. "You spoil him a lot, Arthur"

Arthur looked at her then to Josh. "I love him. I'm gonna spoil him a lot"

"Okay, but try not to spoil him too much, he's growing"

As much as Jessy loves to see his son happy being spoiled, she doesn't want him to grow up being a spoiled and demanding kid. She has seen some of her relatives' kids turn into spoiled kids when they grow up. She doesn't want Josh to be like them.

"Sure, but right now let him be happy," Arthur said, which earn a nod from Jessy across him.

After a few hours, Josh finally fell asleep in Arthur's arm. He carried him to his room, carefully placing him on his bed before kissing his forehead and left the room quietly.

Going downstairs, he got ready to go back home. Jessy was in the kitchen, washing the dishes. Arthur looked at her and thought about bringing Josh to meet his grandparents. It has been 2 weeks and Arthur has never told his parents that Jessy came back, with his son. Truthfully he was worried to tell them about Jessy and Josh, but sooner or later he will have to tell them about them.

"You're going home?" Jessy said from the kitchen.

"Yes, but before that, I need to tell you something"

"One second!" She said then quickly finishing the work. She washed her hands then walked to where Arthur stood in the living room. "What is it?"

Arthur was not even sure if Jessy would let Josh to meet his parents, but he needed to do this. "I want to take Josh to meet my parents"
