They asked for my name and age, which I gave to them effortlessly. The brunette asked me why I was there, which had me speechless. I tried to explain I was looking for a new start, and how I'd heard about this place years ago. They didn't ask about my background, which made me feel comfortable. They also told me their names were Wilbur and Tommy. My eyes widened at the name Wilbur. After a while of talking out there, they finally led me inside.

"This is Eret. Resident builder and fighter." Wilbur said, pointing to another man. He was only about medium height, with deep brown eyes that were covered by black sunglasses. Something about him made me feel uneasy, but I still shook his hand and offered up a smile.

"Blaze." I introduced myself, short and sweet.

"Eret." He said plainly in a deep relaxing voice.

Eret went back to building some sort of tower out of black stone and yellow clay, matching the walls.

"Tubbo!" Tommy said, running towards a short boy. I guessed he couldn't be any older than 13, along with Tommy who also seemed young. Tubbo had a bowl cut of light brown hair. He wore shades of deep green and white. Around his neck was a chain, a bee pendant attached to the end. I wondered what this meant.

"Here's Tubbo. He does most of the farming around here." Tubbo looked at me, confused. Tommy said something to him, making him smile and chuckle. Now he approached me.

"Hello there, I'm Tubbo." He reached out his hand. I shook it, feeling warmth throughout my body. His smile was enough to make anyone smile back, even me.

"I'm Blaze." I replied.

"Cool." He said. Then him and Tommy ran off. I watched them go, staring into the distance. L'Manberg really was beautiful. Buildings were everywhere, beautifully built by Eret, I assumed. Wilbur led me into one of the shorter buildings. Inside were a bunch of tables, I assumed for eating by the smell of chicken. Wilbur led me back into the kitchen. A girl stood there, the first girl I'd seen so far. She couldn't be any older than me, with bright platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. She wore perfectly done makeup as she ran around the kitchen, cooking like a maniac. Wilbur cleared his throat, making the girl jump. Then she laughed.

"Don't scare me like that, Will." She laughed it off. Wilbur scoffed. Then her face brightened when her eyes locked with mine. Her face went into a bright smile.

"Blaze, this is Ni..." The girl suddenly ran towards me, picking me up in a hug. I jumped, surprised, but let her hug me. She pulled away after a few seconds.

"Finally, another girl!" She said happily. My eyes were wide as I stared at her. She backed up, looking embarrassed, her cheeks flushed with red.

"Sorry, erm... I'm Niki." She stuck out her hand. I shook it, finally smiling.

"Blaze."

"If you ever need a thing, come to me darling." Although she was my age, the nickname was kind of cute. "Especially food, I love baking." We left after that, going to what I thought was some sort of medical place. I was correct, hospital beds lined the walls. Exactly five, from what I counted. A door opened in the back, and a man came out, scrubbing his hands. He looked stunned to see me standing there, freezing in place.

I took into account his features. Bright red hair that was somewhat straight, pale skin, and reddish brown freckles. He was about my height, (5'10') and he wore scrubs.

"Fundy, this is Blaze. Blaze, meet Fundy." I offered up a smile. He smiled back sheepishly, shaking my hand.

"Nice to meet you." I said.

"You too." He replied, then he was gone.

Wilbur showed me buildings of all sorts, the large farm Tommy and Tubbo were chasing each other in, the river where Eret was fishing, and the bunkroom. Finally, we walked into a large van he called the hot dog van. Brewing stands were littered all around.

"That there was just the tour. I was just wondering if you planned on staying? We can make you an honorary citizen, if you'd like." I smiled out of nowhere.

"That would be great. But I have a question." Thoughts swarmed my mind. I'd been thinking about asking him this, now it was finally coming out. "I do want to become a citizen and all that, but I'm not used to living inside walls. It's not really... what I'd pictured...?" It came out as a question more than a statement. Wilbur stared with the same blank and calm expression he usually wore. "I was just wondering if I could maybe build a cottage outside the walls. Maybe it could be like an embassy, or something like that." He squinted his eyes, thinking. I paused, waiting for him to speak.

"That could work. You would still be a citizen then?" I nodded slowly, watching his face. He nodded again. "Just one question. What do you have to offer our country?" I smiled when she heard the word 'our', understanding he was a fair leader.

"I can fight." His eyebrows went up. "Or train people, if you'd like. I'm good at medical things too."

"One more question, do you know how to swim?" My eyebrows furrowed at the question.

"Yeah." I said plainly. Of course I know how to swim, isn't that basic information...

"Great, you can teach everyone then." My eyes widened.

"No one knows how to swim?" I asked. Wilbur glanced down, smirking.

"Nope."

He was right, they had no fucking idea how to swim.

Still, after only a few hours, this country was starting to feel like home.
