👑🧡Happy Kingsday🧡👑

"Oh, come on!" Charles yelled and got up from the couch. "You fucking piece of shit!" He threw his arms in the air and looked offended at Pierre.

Pierre only just laughed. "That will be pizza tonight," he laughed. "I'm the FIFA king, like I said before. Don't try to prove me wrong." He put the PlayStation controller on the coffee table.

"Someone can't stand their loss..." Anthoine cheekily said and took a sip from his drink.

"It's just unfair," Charles defended himself and sat down on the couch.

Anthoine smirked. "You just can't stand your loss," he continued. "Just saying."

"It's just FIFA, calm down," Pierre said. "Another game?"

"Oh, hell no, not again."

Anthoine stuck his arm out in Charles direction and moved his fingers. "It's my turn," he said and got the PlayStation controller. "I will show how it's done."

The third football match was about to begin on FIFA. Pierre, Anthoine and Charles had met up in Monaco for a relaxing day, just to process the hectic days in F1 and, in Anthoine's case: the hectic moments in F2. They were all preparing for the upcoming race in France.

"Have you heard something from Juliette yet?" Charles curiously asked. "You haven't updated me."

A snort left Anthoine's mouth. "You're such a gossiper," he said. "But no, not yet. She was supposed to call me to let me know if she had time to lunch, but nothing."

"She wasn't at the race in Canada," Pierre muttered. "Do you really think she would call you back?"

"Uh, yes. She said it was unsure if she would attend the race," Anthoine replied and focussed on the game.

"Did she tell you why she was on the track now?" Pierre asked. Anthoine was his only source to know and find out about these things. "It's still odd..."

Anthoine nodded. "Lulu hated speed skating, and she wanted a change. Edward works in F1 too, so it's not a surprise she followed him in his footsteps. She had to replace a colleague, so that's why she was on the track."

"Not gonna lie, this is a weird situation," Charles admitted. "Why are you not speaking to her anymore? Anthoine is like your private detective now... Pathetic," he smirked.

It was silence from Pierre's side. Even though it was a long time ago, it still was bothering him. He tightened his jaw and focused on the football match. "Our friendship didn't work, we're not the same type of person," Pierre made up.

Charles rose his eyebrows. "That is just bullshit. I don't know her, but well enough to know you're basically the same. Both athletes, both in F1, both athletes mentality. And that is basically your life."

"No."

"Seriously, what is the reason behind this act? There is a reason why you acted like a drama queen when you saw her and why you became cranky," Charles said questionably.

A sigh rolled over Pierre's lips. "We had a fight about the fact she was throwing away her career because of some friends who had a bad influence on her. It sounds stupid, but I disagreed with it. She was so talented, she actually was the only good French speed skater - which is special."

Anthoine looked away from the TV, letting his eyes fall on Pierre. So that was the story Juliette told him... That was her excuse. It made him wonder what her other excuses were, because this wasn't clearly the truth.
