WORD OF THANKS

Yeah, that's it. We have reached the end of Hopelessly Devoted. It was our first book with cross-overs in storylines.

The idea of this story started all the way back when one of us was watching Grease. At the same time, the incident with Anthoine happened, and we both felt that we wanted to honour Anthoine by writing a book. But in 2020, it was too soon to write the book and watch the incident all over again, so we decided to put this storyline on hold. After the interview with Pierre came out where he openly spoke about his movement to Torro Rosso and the accident of Anthoine, it felt right to start with the story.

This book started as an innocent book, but quickly turned into a book full of emotions; the friendship between the four, Anthoine, Pierre, Sarah and Juliette, the incident of Anthoine, and the most important goal: honour Anthoine for the amazing person he was.

It was a huge challenge to write this book; so many things happened. From putting on a mask to hide emotions, breakdowns, the accident, an abusive relationship... to a beautiful friendship and relationship, love, humour. But we enjoy every minute of it. We learned so much by writing this book, and we became attached to it. How are we supposed to say goodbye to Juliette and Pierre? Juliette really became our best friend and Pierre too... We cannot say goodbye to them.

The reason why we picked Juliette's storyline is because this happens more than we think. People are hiding more things than we know. People are smiling, acting like nothing is going on, but in the meantime, there is. We think it is important to show that side too, since there isn't spoken enough about it.

Please, remember that if someone is hurting you or if you are not feeling safe for some reason, contact someone you trust. Or if you see someone struggling, show them you are there for them. You are not alone.

Anyway, we hope you love the book as much as we do and we will say it again. Your comments... they're the reason why we keep writing. It makes us so happy to read your comments, your theories about the story, the compliments. We read every comment we get. This is honestly the reason why writing is so addictive and exciting; the reactions completes the process. We write to make you happy, and your commenting makes us happy; we couldn't wish for something better and more grateful.
