I lay on my head, gazing up to the sky,

Observing the light show, the shooting stars as they shot by.

I thought of my wish,

But there were so many,

So many choices, but how do I choose,

Conflicting thoughts sending my mind into a frenzy.

I could wish for innumerable riches,

For peace on Earth,

For a second chance,

For joy and mirth.

I could wish for the pain,

To disappear from young hearts,

For the atmosphere of hope,

To never depart.

I could wish for  harmony to remain in the home,

For suffering voices to be heard.

For the good of the people,

For a better tomorrow and a better world.

For the loudness of the silence,

To cease its' compressing demeanor,

For freedom and for love,

To turn the downcast ones, into believers.

I could wish my own selfish gain,

As many people do,

Though it only causes disdain.

I could wish for time to turn back,

So I  could unsay those spoken words,

Heal the broken spirits,

So that the innocence can shine like pearls.

To unburn the ashes,

And mend the wounds of hurt,

To erase the heaviness of a empty heart,

Or to will that the evilness of the world would be reversed.

Of all these there is only one I want,

It is has a big meaning, but is a simple thing.

I wish for happiness in all our lives,

No matter the situation,

Let our songs of joyousness ring,

Throughout the valleys,

Our hearts will sing,

Throughout the ages,

Let it bloom like spring,

The melody of happiness,

In our hearts will forever remain.
