I could smile a hundred smiles,
Enshroud the truth behind my warm façade.
Show them all my different faces,
They can't see behind my masquerade.

I've got one in every single color,
Custom built to fit the occasion.
I trained to turn off my agitation,
To maintain my happy disposition.

No, I don't want to be here,
I'd rather be on my own.
Dancing away to my own melody,
My mind is the only place I call home.

I can't crack under the pressure,
I can bear this, I can make this, I'll survive.
I've been practicing this for years now,
I promise I'll make it out alive.

I'm tired of running,
From the nightmares of reality.
From the demands of the world,
Will peace ever find me?

Masking my sight,
From those things that would scar me,
From the truth of life,
I can't let it take me.

So, I'll keep smiling this smile,
I refuse to let go, I refuse to cry.
A thousand masks, a lifetime to go,
Oh how the time flies by.

I promised myself to never show my weaknesses,
I promised the man on the moon that I would try.
I'll fight with the strength that I've got,
Until the day that I die.
