Smoke fills the room as she scrambles to the exit,
Her fingers pound the door in haste,
Failing to notice the figure smiling at her from the darkness.
"Don't be scared little one, I just want a little taste".Falling to the floor she realizes no one would come back for her,
And she battles with herself in an attempt to reject her fate.
She fights not to show her fear,
For the risks are very great. As the figure stepped out of the shadows,
She recognized it immediately, for it was non other than herself.
The monsters she hid away all those years,
Had come back, for their patience had expelled. They say it's never too late to go back,
But it would be so for her poor soul.
A child, of much sorrow and loss,
in her fight to avoid the darkness, she lost control. She knew this was her last,
And so she closed her eyes as she resigned.
She let the darkness take over,
And screamed as the insanity took over her mind.Shamiah James Blugh
