On the way home, the twins had found a jewellery store. They decided to take a look around and try and find something as an apology present for the girls. Ellie looked around and found some engagement rings. Dylan watched as Ellie picked up a beautiful ring for Dina and placed it in her back pocket. Dylan looked to the rings, which hung on a necklace around his neck, his parents' wedding rings. He wondered if Maddie would even consider marrying him after the fact he just left her to go on a killing spree with his sister again.
The twins had finally returned home and found the house looked different. Dylan looked to Ellie and had a bad feeling. Ellie looked to Dylan and sighed as she entered the farmhouse. As the twins looked around, they noticed the farmhouse was empty. All signs of life had been wiped away from the house, as if it was never occupied. The twins investigated the farmhouse, trying to find any clue or note as to where the girls and JJ had gone. The twins ventured upstairs, finding their study filled with their things. As Ellie found Joel's guitar, Dylan watched as she struggled to play with her left hand.

Dylan looked around and noticed a note stuck to one of his paintings. Dylan took the note and read it aloud as Ellie leant the guitar by the window.

"Ellie, Dylan...Maddie, JJ and I have gone back to Jackson. We've moved into Joel's place until you return...if you return. We tried to stay here for as long as we could, but Maddie and I were caught up with JJ and Scott is no huntsman, but he was able to fix up another Jeep. He may even be in his trailer if you return home. Hope to see you soon. Love always, Dina." Dylan read.
