POV—Hebinoya Ikari

Calm

Don't let me go.

It is the calm before a storm.

Although I wouldn't describe this as calm,

there is a storm brewing amongst us.

I have the feeling it will wipe away everything,

including me.

Don't let me go.

I weave left and right. I dodge the blonde girl's thrusts, avoiding the clutches of the top hat man— never taking my eyes off of Bakugou as he does the same as he blasts the lizard in the face.

I'm weaker than I thought.

The fierceness to my blows decrease by the second. I had intended to blow the blonde's knife away as it slices towards me, but my reactions have slowed and it grazes my face. The blonde's movements are smooth, but they are growing desperate by the second.

They're in a crisis too. They'll use force to take us.

I grit my teeth as I charge at Twice, attempting to counterattack his quick jabs, but to no avail. From the smoke tickling my nose and Bakugou's constant screaming, followed with an explosion, I can tell he is still fighting.

What do I do?

The uncertainty makes my next block from Shojiro's wind ineffective and I yelp and dodge, new blood blooming on my arm. My heart jumps up and down as he sends another disk towards me, his eyes unrelenting and cold. I don't know what to do anymore— some part of me still wants to beg him to stop fighting and come back to me.

A distanced yell similar to All Might's voice echoes.

"Don't worry, students, I'm coming—"

"You won't get to them, hero. That's why I am here."

The masked man's voice makes my blood freeze. His words points out something crucial— Bakugou and I are a hindrance to All Might's abilities. If All Might can truly use his full power, he would have done so a long time ago. He's refraining from using it because we are in close vicinity— and when we are here, we can get blown away too.

I whip around again, sending a slice at the top hat man charging towards me. He too dodges my attack and I grunt in frustration, ignoring the pain still rippling through my head. I can't let the top hat man get to me— if he does, I won't have any fighting chance, since he'll have taken me in his stupid magic marble.
