ADHD~ Wanda Maximoff

Y/N and Wanda we're sitting in the meeting room with the rest of the avengers prior to a mission.

Y/N knew it was important to listen to what the SHIELD man had to say but they couldn't. Why you ask? Well Y/n hasn't taken their adhd meds, this was causing them to fiddle with the pen in front of them and when they were bored of messing with the pen they turned and looked at Wanda.

Wanda knew what the look on y/n's face was. Wanda took her hair out of the ponytail and allowed y/n to fiddle with the hair as long as they paid attention.

Y/n tried to listen to the mission briefing but they were just too distracted. Concentrating without their meds always proved difficult, but especially now that it was a boring mission brief they were supposed to be listening to.

"Agent y/l/n?" a voice snapped them away from their thoughts. "Yes, sir?" y/n replied. "Did you just hear a word I said?" the SHIELD man asked. "Yes..." they replied, comprehensively.

Wanda discreetly slid them the notes she was taking and y/n began to 'recall what they had heard.'

Y/n realised they messed up whilst reading the notes which caused the SHIELD agent to give Y/n the side eye. They hung their head down in shame as Wanda turned and looked at them. Wanda felt bad for Y/n and offered to help them.

Time skip:

The mission had ended but it wasn't successful and and it ended in Clint getting injured, y/n felt guilty. They felt as though Clint being injured was their fault. They hated themselves for it, they let their ADHD get the better of them in the middle of an important meeting for a life or death mission.

Everyone ran to the medbay, wanting to see what was wrong with Clint. The avengers paced nervously outside the room he was in with Dr Banner. Y/n kept their head in their hands, ashamed of themself.

Wanda pulled them in for a hug, "hey, don't worry, baby, this isn't your fault," she whispered reassuringly. She knew y/n would blame themself for this but she knew it was because she couldn't take her ADHD meds.

"It is, it's all my fault," y/n cried into Wanda's embrace. Just then, Bruce walked out with a clipboard in his hand, he had his serious face on.

"I'm afraid his injuries are quite serious. He has severe head trauma, internal bleeding and a punctured lung, I'm sorry but I don't think he's going to make it," he told the group.

Clint's wife arrived while Bruce was explaining and burst into tears. Y/n couldn't bare to watch and ran out of the medbay, Wanda following close behind them.

"Y/n sto-" Wanda began but was interrupted by y/n. "NO WANDA, I CAN'T STAY IN THERE AND WATCH LAURA GRIEVE FOR HER DEAD HUSBAND WHEN IT'S MY FAULT HE'S DEAD," they began to cry and sat on the floor in the hallway.

Wanda picked y/n up bridal style and carried them upstairs. She made them some coffee and y/n began to calm down a little. "I can't believe he's going to die because of me," y/n suddenly blurted out.

"For the last time y/n," Wanda put her hand on y/n's, "this is not your fault."

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"

Wanda instantly got up and stood protectively in front of y/n. "MY HUSBAND IS LYING IN THE MEDBAY, DYING, BECAUSE OF YOU," Laura continued to scream.

"Stay back," Wanda warned. "I'm sorry Laura, I wasn't thinking straight-" y/n began. "DAMN RIGHT YOU WEREN'T THINKING STRAIGHT. HELL. WERE YOU EVEN THINKING AT ALL?!" Laura interrupted them.

"That's enough." Wanda told her, tilting her head. "Go see your husband while you still can," she told the soon to be widow.

After a few hours the avengers all came upstairs, "he's dead," Natasha muttered. Y/n sobbed into their hand as they failed to notice everyone looking unphased by the death of their teammate.

"Why aren't you all sad?" they asked. "Anyone who actually liked Clint please raise your hand," Tony asked.

Nobody raised their hand.
