Chapter 16: Be With Me

Jaemin's POV

I was really thinking about Sunghoon since day 1. I approached him in his darkest times because I think he needs a friend and I kind off like him. I always saw him in skating competitions and I easily got attracted to him.

I just don't know if it was a coincidence when I bumped into him in the streets years ago. He was with his earphones and his face was pale and no life. He almost got hit by a truck when I saw him (his kind off "out of his mind")

I got close to him and it made me even more fall to his charms. I was the only person beside him for months of his misery. There was a time when he cried the most and I just offered him a hug. Then later on he decided to audition into a company (Big Hit Entertainment).

I asked him why and he answered "I wish to find the person, I am looking for. That person was special"

"Who exactly is that person?" I asked

"A thief" he said and laughed

I followed him here and we had a short meeting at the Shopping mall but after how many minutes he suddenly disappeared out of my sight. I looked for him but he was holding a girl's hand

It made me wonder and asked myself Does he perhaps have a girlfriend?

When I approached them, she suddenly hide her face and when I looked at Sunghoon his eyes were again felt alive. He was full of excitement but when I appeared his faces turned blank again

Who's that girl?

I told him that I will follow him to the company he auditioned and he just said "it's your choice"

I really worked hard on this because I trained myself, day and night.

The first moving to the dorms day, he was outside the building and I was really happy if he was out there waiting for me. My heart skipped a beat and I was excited but when I approached him (he was with Sunoo) his face was worried and again I thought he was worried about me.

The next scene was when I was always wondering around the Hybe Building and I couldn't see him. But there was this one weird moment when Sunoo and Sunghoon was with JV.

When I was hearing them talk Sunoo was in the same school as JV but I don't know what school they graduated from. I approached him but his eyes were not for me, I don't care whether he was just blanked out or any other reasons, so I poked him repeatedly to respond.

Another weird moment was when he was standing out of JV's recording studio. I noticed him walking away faster and he saw me

"why are you standing there?" I asked him

"I was just curious because a lot of people were going inside this room... So my curiosity strikes again" he replied

I just wished my calculations are wrong

JV's POV

"what?!!!" I shouted because of the offer of my manager, it was not an offer but a letter given to my manager

It was a letter from Running Man crew, stating that I was invited to join there show next week

"Is it only me?? There's no one to join me?" I asked him

"ohh about that... We verified that you will be joining them as a guest and pick one of the members to join you" he said

"I really want to be a guest in that show" I exclaimed "I grew up watching Running Man show"

"ahh... Can I join you?" Jaemin steps in

"ohh.. Sure, if no one objects" I smiled awkwardly

"you two can go" the other members said "Promote our music videos well" they smiled

"wahh really? No hard feelings okay" I told them and they just nod

"okay then... I will send them an email" our manager said

After a week

I was waiting for Jaemin in the Hybe lobby but then I saw Sunoo was about to go out

I texted him: where are you heading?

And he looks back and gave me a wave "I am heading to the venue of the Running Man Show" he replied

"wahh!! Were you invited too?" I asked

"Yeah~ too?? That means you are also invited? Well if that's the case... See you later" he replied

I suddenly saw Sunghoon also head out of the building and went inside Sunoo's van

Is he coming too

"I forgot to tell you... Sunghoon will be joining today" Sunoo again replied

"ahh.. Okay" I sent it to him

"Unnie..." A soft voice called me and when I turned around she was so happy and excited

"Let's go and have some fun" I told her

I wore something sophisticated and cute outfit while Jaemin wore a cute theme

As we depart to the location that was sent to us. I felt an awkward vibe in the car today, I just don't know why

We got off of the van and I was unexpectedly called by a Running man crew but I must also avoid suspicion.

"Jaemin-ahh... You can go up first and follow him... I just need to go to the bathroom" I told her and she took the bait.

I waited for her to be out of my sight before following the crew member.

He leads me the way and I am now at a room inside with the Producer and some other staff

"Hi..." I greeted and bowed as I enter

I sat in front of them but I noticed that there were two seats allotted. After a while a familiar person entered, he was so dashing and exactly looks like a prince.

Sunghoon ah

"Hi.. Today we will be having an important role to portray... Today's race is a couple race and you will be a couple who steals other members gold and put it in your safe. You must keep your identities by yourself because if the police manage to catch you, the culprits, you will be receiving an extreme punishment" he explained

"ahh.. Okay okay... So we are a couple?" I asked him again and I feel shy to look at him in the eye

"Yeah.. We are a couple, he just told you" Sunghoon said and laughed

"We will do our best to win.. SungJay couple at your service" we both smiled and made a heart with our hands

I am shy

They gave us a secret mission in every round and we need to perform it well, if not, a hint of us will be announced to the group
