"Domain expansion... Malevolent Shrine"

A wave of darkness covered the area, blocking out the blue sky to only replace it with black. The ground was now a lake of redness...it's liquid resembling much like blood. Then lastly,  a wicked shrine standing in the middle, littered with skulls of all creatures. Even its shape resembles much of a large mouth.

But still, the woman was unafraid. Only humming as she glanced around the domain of the king of curses.

"It suits you well,  from what I gathered about you.  It gives off much power," she said, turning her attention back to Sukuna. Who only growled in annoyance,  there was just no scaring this woman. It was annoying him to no bounds to see no fear from her. This little indulgence they were having was boring to him.

"But could use some light." she raised her hands and formed the same symbol as him. Ready to cast her own domain.  There was no way she could overcome his. He was the strongest sorcerer in the land, if not in the world.

But he was shocked as her domain expanded from her.  Blue clashed with black,  green clashed with red.  Her domain was not strong enough to overcome his... But instead, it combined with his... Meaning that she was possibly as strong as he? Impossible.

Sukuna stood on the steps of his shrine,  staring at the woman with all four of his eyes widened for a brief moment before narrowing at the hooded woman.  Never has he faced anyone who could stand up to him. Let alone challenge his domain. Was this even possible? For two domains to coexist together?

He had to admit that her domain suited her well from what he could see of her.  A graceful landscape it was. Grass greener than emeralds, the sky as blue as sapphires that were littered with the most perfect shaped clouds. It was so beautiful along with her, so beautiful and heaven-like that it disgusted him.

But what caught his attention was the pillars that stood tall behind her. Each wearing a symbol of an element... Fire,  water, earth, air,  lightning, and ice.  What was their purpose?

"Hmm... Seems our domains are compatible with one another.  I didn't think it was possible. Allow me to reveal mine, the pillars of life," she said,  raising her arms to motion to the pillars behind her. "I've come to learn that they are the building blocks of life...as well as the world's weapons."

As on cue with her introduction,  each pillar gave off a colorful hue.  She lowered her arms and tangled her fingers into another symbol.

Sukuna gritted his teeth. She was going to attack him in his own domain.  He quickly did the same,  allowing his malevolent shrine to slash towards the woman, only for her pillars to fire off beams of the elements.

Smoke rose as the two attacks collide,  sending powerful shockwaves all around the area from the impact of each other. To his surprise, both domains began to shatter from the impact until they completely broke apart and brought them back to the real world.

Sukuna was beyond outrage that his domain failed. Releasing a mincing growl as he charged towards her.  She seemed to be distracted with confusion,   obvious to his presence. Sukuna took this chance to kick her in her abdomen.

A small gasp escaped her lips as her body was flown into the stairs of the temple. Sukuna couldn't help but grin at the sight of her finally down.  He wasted no time in delivering two of his fists against her as she went to stand,  throwing her form up to the temple doors.

Sukuna finally had the upper hand. The spear caught his eyes that he has long forgotten. Walking over and effortlessly pulling it from the stone.

The white curse slowly stood up just in time as he charged at her again,  pulling a dagger out of his kimono and attempted to stab her with it.  But she raised her arms and blocked, the dagger dropped... But Sukuna could only smirk at her as her body tensed.

She forgot he had four arms... Resulting in his bottom right hand plunging the spear into her stomach. Everything had seemed to slow,  the speed slowly ripping into her flesh. The force of the stab causing her body to jerk,  her hood falling off of her head.

Sukuna's expression twisted into pure ecstasy as he looked down at the wound he created,  watching as her blood gushed over his hand,  straining that pretty white kimono of hers with red.

But his world came to a stop as his eyes traveled up to see such a familiar face. It couldn't be... There was no possible way.  There before him was his Sorano. His Sorano that he just harmed...

She had not changed a bit in appearance.  Only the look of her eyes.  Who was once filled with so much life, radiating such a beautiful shade of blue... Now looked so dull and gray,  not an ounce of life in them.

Sukuna was quick to pull his spear out of her... Possibly causing more harm than good as her blood spilled faster.

"Hah... You are what they claim. A king.  A king who was strong enough to kill me finally," she whispered out,  blood pooling in her mouth only to spill down her chin as she spoke.  "Despite the sins you've committed... I have to thank you for this wish".

Sukuna could feel her body growing weaker,  her warmth slowly fading away as her life was demolishing.

No,  he wouldn't allow this.  A low growl erupted from his throat as she fell against him. She could no longer hold herself up. Her breath becoming labored against his bare chest.

"I don't grant wishes," he finally spoke,  three of his arms holding her close as his free hand pressed against the gaping hole on her back.  Then moved another to the wound on her stomach.

"After all this time thinking you were dead.  You better not die on me now" she was long unconscious from the blood loss. He must act quickly.

He focused his curse energy on her wounds, slowly feeling the flesh grow back together. Making a sickening sound that made him cringe. He never had a problem with it. In fact, he loved such sounds as he kills his prey, watching them beg as he tortured them.  But knowing that his victim was his once protector and mother figure... It made him feel sick to his stomach.

For once in a long time, emotions stirred within him.  Emotions that he never wanted to feel again.  Fear and regret, most of all longing.

Finally, he healed her wound, but she was still unconscious. It seemed it would be a while before she wakes.  Her body needs to recover on its own now.

He picked her up in his arms and held her as if she was made from glass.  She seemed so fragile to him despite her proving otherwise. She used to be the one to protect him, and now it was his turn to return the favor. She had quickly become a weak spot for him, adding on more reasons to protect her.

He stared down at the woman... After all these years of believing she was dead. Here she was... She was alive, after all.  But he couldn't help but ask why.

Why didn't she look for him? Why hasn't he heard of her? Where was she all this time? Why didn't she recognize him? Many questions flooded his mind. Sukuna couldn't bring himself to be angry at the moment, only joyful. He had his Sorano back, and he was never going to let her go again.
