Darkness was all Sorano could see. She could feel nothing.  Was she finally dead? Is this the afterlife many spoken about? It was not as she imagined... But at least she wasn't failing anyone else here.

Or so she thought.  She heard movement as if someone was walking towards her. A strong presence seeping over her,  a familiar suffocating one.  What was this? It felt as if someone was standing next to her now,  but when she looked. She only saw darkness.

"Make sure she has everything she will need when she wakes," a deep voice spoke next to her... Wait, she wasn't dead?

"Yes, my lord..." she heard another voice speak before the sound of a sliding door was heard. Opening then closing.  She was alone with whoever this was.

What was going on? She thought to herself. She was becoming more conscious by the second.  Until finally, her eyes opened to see the light.  She was definitely not dead, and she was definitely not in her chambers.

Sorano quickly sat up,  a small gasp escaping her lips.  How was this possible? She felt his energy as he stabbed her. She felt her body grow weak as his curse energy punctured her heart.  So how was she alive now? She looked down to see she was in a thin kimono... Opening the front to see that her wound was gone. Not even a trace that it was there.

"You finally awake," that deep voice she heard earlier spoke. Sorano whipped her head around to see him sitting there next to the bed.  His four arms folded over his chest as his matching eyes stared at her. Quickly closing the kimono.

"Why am I not dead?" she asked,  her voice harsh from strain.  She guessed from the battle. Suppose sounded so foreign to her.

The king of curses titled his head at her question as if it was supposed to be obvious. "Because I healed you."

Sorano couldn't help but feel angry.  She wanted to die, and he denied her of that.  For what? To torture her as the rumors claim? To make her relive the hell she had all these years? To use her as he pleased?

"Why!? Why heal me? Why didn't you let me die!" she hissed, trying to stand from the bed,  only to be pushed down by one of his hands.

His expression did not change.  She couldn't read what he would be thinking.  But she swore she saw a flash of pain in his eyes.  He had his hand on her shoulder,  holding her to the bed until she gave in.  Once she did,  he slowly retracted his hand and straightened up.

"You honestly don't remember me... That's hurtful," he mumbled quietly. But she heard him so clearly.

"Remember you? I don't ever remember meeting the King of curses," she hissed at him, a frown tugging at her lips.

"Lord Sukuna-... I apologize.  I will return when you are finished," a white-haired male said as he stepped into the room. Only to freeze to see the two curses staring at one another. He gave a slight bow before quickly taking his leave.

"Sukuna?..." she repeated, her eyebrows furrowing in thought. She knew that name all too well.  But it was impossible...

He simply raised a brow at her,  silently asking her to continue her thoughts.  She stared silently at him. Her blue irises meeting with his crimson ones.
