"He did what?"

Sarah Cameron was amazed by her friends words, sitting upright in the Martin girl's bed, mouth gaped open as she tucked a stray hair behind her ear.

Numerous vibrations sounded next to Ophelia which graciously grabbed her attention, various text messages popping up from her friends brother, though she chose to ignore them as she engaged with Sarah on today's events.

come over?

are you mad at me, O?

I'm sorry about the golf course, okay?

"I do not understand my brother." Sarah began. "All he thinks about is how he can piss of someone." The brunette shrugged in response, sinking back into her seat. "That, and you." Sarah almost vommited over her own words, ignored the flushed look on her friends face. "He's like, obsessed with you. And not in the cute way. But that's like, a whole different story."

Ophelia simply sighed, adjusting her dark curls as she rolled onto her side, greeting her best friend with yet another simple shrug. "There's nothing to it, Sarah." The girl hushed quietly. "He's just."

Sarah Cameron instantly grew into a fit of laughter, her eyes squinting as she did such. "He's just completely psycho?" Sarah grinned playfully. "Please, Ophelia. Have you met my brother?" The Martin girl couldn't help but smile at her friends words, her cheeks permanently flushed from the warm sun she exposed her self to daily.

"I'm sorry, but Rafe is the biggest asshole I've ever met." Sarah grinned lightly. "I mean, he is my brother and all, but I don't get how you can hangout with him all the time."

The Martin girl was unsure how to answer the question. Growing up, she was glued at the hip with Sarah until their late teens, when the Martin girl and Rafe began to grow closer, almost inseparable, and they enjoyed the company of each other even when they didn't wish for a single soul near by.

"I think he's just having a hard time at home, you know." Ophelia sighed as her mind began to wonder. "With your dad, dropping out of college, and all." The brunette shrugged, knowing she didn't need to say much further. An obvious reason the girl was such good friends with both Sarah and Rafe - they grew up in wealth that ran over the simple things in life.

"I don't know, we don't talk about that kind of stuff." Ophelia sighed softly as Sarah's wide eyed look soon faded. Truth be told, Ophelia and Rafe did talk about that kind of stuff, though she failed to admit that to Sarah.

"Personally." Sarah grinned playfully. "I don't think he knows how to handle his emotions." Sarah's eyebrow rose as she spoke, causing Ophelia to shake her head in disapproval. "It must be so hard to not kiss you everyday."

"Sarah Cameron." Ophelia beamed, slapping her arm lightly as she shook her head. "Please. He's your brother." The girl held a gleaming look in her eyes, laughing at her dearest friend who was caught off guard. "Oh, come on Ophelia. We all see the way he looks at you."

Sarah twisted until she was on her back, causing Ophelia to mimic her actions, landing with a soft sigh. "Topper." The blonde paused, the previous nights events playing through her mind once again. "Topper told me that Rafe turns down any girl who tries to get with him." The blonde admitted, earning subtle looks from Ophelia.

"I mean, it's totally weird and all if it's true but, he seems to think it's because of you."

Ophelia Martin, rarely, but in the moment, was at a loss for word.s Rafe Cameron was clearly charming. Ophelia never failed to admit the boy was beyond gorgeous, though she never thought to look at him in any way other than her best friend - how could she?

The two were flirtatious, to say the least. Ophelia Martin was the Kook Princess, and it was no doubt she had Rafe Cameron, much like every other Figure Eight boy, buckling at the knees. Though to her surprise, she was curious as to those around the pair had talked about their relationship, as if it was more than Ophelia had once thought.

"I don't know, Sarah." Ophelia chimed in. "I think you would know if I was into your brother." Wide eyed, Sarah smiled at the girl next to her. "Well, are you?"

Stunned.

Ophelia felt confident in her words, that was until Sarah popped the question everyone in Figure Eight had been dying to know.

Ophelia Martin had never looked at Rafe Cameron at any more than her friend - sure. Undeniable looks and his soft spot for the girl had her laying awake at night, though the rumours that surfaced Figure Eight were simply that.

"Whatever, Ophelia." Sarah laughed, speaking before the girl even had a chance. "You and my brother are into each other. I mean, everyone see's it."

Ophelia, flushed and confused, couldn't help but notice the butterflies dancing inner stomach as her phone lit up yet again, a curious Sarah gazing down at the screen with a playful smile. "What happened between you and Topper anyways?"

don't be like this princess.

"Phelia?" A soft voice spoke from outside the door not long after, and that had been Sarah's exit to leave, telling Ophelia to meet up with her when she was back from town. "Come downstairs, sweetheart."

The Martin girl pushed various thoughts about her best friends brother out of her mind, slipping down the dark wood staircase as she met with her parents, sat upon the counter island in the centre of the kitchen.

"Take a seat, please." Her father, Richard, spoke lightly, and Ophelia held back a frustrated look as her eyes wandered over, away from her parents, slipping herself in a seat across from the two.

"Baby," Isla Martin started, a look of sadness washed over her face as her husband cut the dark haired women off, giving his daughter a stern look, and that was when Ophelia knew where she would be heading later on - anger creeping up her spine.

"What happened at the golf course, Ophelia?"
