It's in the eyes. Always the eyes.

-The nightmares didn't stop. For weeks, Aris thrashed around in her sleep, waking up each night at exactly 2:07 am, drenched in her own sweat and tears. She didn't know what to do. It couldn't be a coincidence that each night she woke up at exactly the same time, from the exact same nightmare.
What else could it be though? She'd never heard of iridescents having nightmares, or any other supernatural cause for this. All she knew was that she was terrified. Terrified that this was a premonition of some sort, and it was eventually going to come true. She was terrified that Edward would one day ask her to kill him, and then threaten to expose her secret when she refused. She needed to make sure that that didn't happen, and in order to do so, she needed to get him closure on the Bella Sean situation; for both of their sakes.
She formed a plan over the next couple of days or so, every here or there asking Edward questions about Bella and what happened when she felt that it was appropriate. From the limited info she'd gathered, she knew that Bella Swan had lived in Forks Washington, and that that's also where Edward was living when he had killed her.
One late Sunday night, Aris decided to put her plan into action. She typed "Forks Washington" into her Google Maps, finding out that it was a 46 hour car ride.
'So, two days in a car with Edward, or several hours at an airport, and then on a plane, still with Edward,' she thought through the options, 'car ride it is. We'd probably get there faster with his maniac driving anyways.'

The next few weeks passed by, the days as cloud filled and gloomy as ever, completely matching Aris's mood as she pulled into the parking lot of the school after another night filled with the same nightmare replaying every time that she shut her eyes.
Today was the day the Cullen's were coming back to school after their three week trip to Europe to see one of Carlisle's friends, and to say that she was excited to see them again would be an understatement.
She put the car in park, then getting out and trudging through the parking lot towards the building.
"Hey Aris! Haven't seen you in awhile- wow, you look..."
"I don't wanna hear it Emmett." She grumbled, pulling on her hood as he entered the school beside her.
"No, you don't look bad, it's just... did you sleep last night? Or the night before?" He asked hesitantly.
"Are my eye bags really that bad?" She whined, meeting his eyes as he nodded reluctantly, "damnit." She huffed.
"It's probably not very drastic to other people, don't worry," he assured her, "I just haven't seen you in a while since we've been gone for so long."
He was right, now that she thought about it. She'd recognized that they were gone for a while, but she assumed that it'd only been a week, rather than three. She'd been too preoccupied with her lack of sleep and constant terror to notice how many days had passed by. She'd missed them all dearly for the first few days, but after that, when the nightmares started, time just started to blend together.
"Are you sure you're okay though? You look much thinner, and your skin has lost some color-"
"Emmett, you don't fucking tell someone that they look thinner! What is wrong with you?" Rosalie hissed, approaching them. She then turned to Aris, her eyes going wide, "Aris, what happened to you?"
