"So? Tell us about yourself, Sweet Pea doesn't ever let us meet his girlfriends." Toni smiled from a chair by the couch.

"That's because I don't have girlfriends, Toni." Sweet Pea rolls his eyes before sitting besides me on the couch, I refuse to glance to him in confusion. What was I then?

"Right, Pea. Forgot about your whole no dating, love isn't real thing." Toni rolled her eyes but I couldn't help but stare at the TV. What the fuck.

I regretted coming here. In the three seconds we've been in this room with them I want to bolt. I gulped at the feeling of anxiety, feeling like I was stuck in this uncomfortable position. I was always comfortable with Sweet Pea.

"You live in Greendale, right?" I glance to Fangs, his demeanor much less intimidating than the girls. I only nod to him.

"What about your family?" Toni asks, I refuse to look at her anymore.

"Mom's dead, my brother was sober for the first time in eight months today and my dad is trash can." I glance to her then with a smile.

"What about you?" Sweet Pea's hand clasps around my thigh, a touch that would normally comfort me now nearly enraged me. I couldn't help but push his hand off of me, almost in reflex.

Toni seems to glance over my face, "I'm sorry, that was pushy."

We stare at each other for a moment, "No biggie, not like I give a shit."

At this she looks surprised, "You don't care that your mom's dead?"

At this I can't help the smile that forms on my lips, a trait I had picked up from my brother. When uncomfortable or emotional, we smile; a crazy look to match the family demeanor.

"No, I probably would've stopped it if I did care, right?." At this her eyes glance to Sweet Pea.

"Knock it off, Lili." I glance to him then finally, his eyes shining in concern and a small amount of what I read to be embarrassment.

"I'd rather spend the day with my sober brother and pretend than pretend with people I don't know." His dark brows pull together in confusion.

"You don't pretend with me." His voice is gentle but it only makes me more annoyed.

I look back to the TV, "My mom's dead too."

I glanced to Fangs with a grimace, "I'm sorry."

I wouldn't have said it if I had known, hell honestly maybe I would have.

"I know." Fangs said back in a quiet tone, as if he knew I was apologizing for more than that.

"Restart! Toni, don't make her uncomfortable." Fangs claps his hands together loudly, the noise making me flinch. The three teens glance to me, Sweet Pea being the only one who understand.
