After the diner, I decided to do another thing I knew she would love as much as she loves me which, yes I know, is a stretch but still. I entangled my fingers with hers after waving Alex off. We exited the good smelling diner before walking down the street. The bitter air flowed through her hair as i watched with adoration.

"What?" Maria asked

"You're very beautiful"

Her cheeks flushed pink slightly as i smiled. Maria kissed my cheek before turning back around to face the street again.

"So where are we going?" Maria questioned

"You'll find out hot stuff, you'll find out"

"That sounds suspicious" Maria commented

"Everything i say sounds suspicious"

"True" Maria shrugged

"We are going to take a little pit stop though"

"Why?" Maria questioned

"Considering that I believe we will be together forever, we need to test out your bread throwing skills"

"Bread throw- we're going to feed ducks, aren't we?" Maria asked

"Ding ding ding, you win a loaf of bread"

Maria just laughed at me.

"Come on hot stuff, let's go get bread"

"You know, when we get married you're going to have to stop calling me hot stuff" Maria chuckled

"Oh so we're getting married are we?"

"I'm not letting you go anywhere Kat" Maria smirked

"Depends on your bread throwing skills"

Maria gaped at me as i sent her a wink. We walked into the nearest store and I bought a loaf of bread before leading her to the park. We sat on mine and Bucky's normal bench and i started to feed the ducks.

"So this is where you and Bucky always go" Maria hummed

"Yep, he likes seeing the ducks flap around so I take him here"

"You're sweet even if you don't show it sometimes" Maria smiled softly

I turned to her and gave her a kiss before smiling.

"HA GAY!" Some kid shouted from across the way

My jaw clenched as Maria placed a hand on mine.

"No, ignore him" Maria instructed

"DISGUSTING!" Another kid shouted

"That's it"

I stood from my spot and flicked my hands black as I walked over. Maria called after me but I didn't stop. The boys eyes widened as they saw me.

"Wanna repeat that assholes?"

"No ma'am" one of them stuttered

"You ever insult a gay couple again, I will hunt you down and snap your little necks, alright?"

"Kat, stop. They're not worth it" Maria sighed as she stepped to my side

"Do you understand?"

"Yes ma'am" another replied

"Now get out of here. These people are trying to enjoy their day"

The boys instantly rode away on their bikes as i huffed. I turned to Maria and she gave me a sad smile while my hands went back to normal.
